Earlier this week Massachusetts finally debuted its first medical marijuana dispensary. Not to be overshadowed by its New England neighbor to the north, Delaware went from decriminalizing cannabis last week to opening its first medical cannabis clinic today.
Four years ago, the Delaware state legislature legalized the use of medical marijuana for qualified patients, and now the state finally has a medical marijuana clinic for registered medical marijuana cardholders. The First State Compassion Center is officially open for business, with patients reportedly driving in from over 60 miles away to procure products intended to help treat or manage their illnesses.
With the line of patients stretching over 50 deep, perhaps the state should look into opening another dispensary soon. In the meantime, congratulations, Delaware! You may be tiny, but your progressive views towards cannabis are mighty indeed.
