The retailer’s website is already advertising grand [re]-opening celebrations, expected to take place in early November.
According to the Ministry of the Attorney General, additional retail store licenses will be issued as applicants proceed through the process which requires security screening and financial integrity checks, support from the local government or First Nation, as well as a store inspection.
The government-operated BC Cannabis Store in Kamloops has been the only legal brick-and-mortar cannabis store in the province since legalization came into effect on Oct. 17.
