Canada’s first anniversary of legalization is cause to celebrate! Not only does October 17, 2019, mark a full year of legalized cannabis in the country, it’s also the onset of the second wave of legalization in the Great White North, with edibles, extracts, and topicals expected to hit retail shelves before the end of the year.

Tweed’s 10.17 Celebration

Spend Canada’s first anniversary of legalization learning about how cannabis grows from start to finish. Stop by the Tweed Visitor Centre in Smith Falls to take a tour of the grow facility and celebrate this major milestone in cannabis history. Guide tours leave every 30 minutes. Plus, look forward to an all-day munchie bar featuring birthday cake and candy!

Cannabis Comedy Festival: Legalized 2.0

When: October 17, Doors at 7 p.m., show at 8 p.m.

Cannabis Comedy promises NO boring industry lectures, although you might learn a thing or two about smoking weed on this night. This month’s events features the hilarious Sirius XM’s Top Comic, superstar Chris Robinson.
