Willie Nelson’s Cannabis Company Is Now Hiring

Published on June 22, 2016 · Last updated July 28, 2020

Country music legend Willie Nelson announced the launch of his cannabis venture back more than a year ago. Now he wants to bring you on board. The longtime cannabis advocate is looking to hire five new employees for his fledgling brand, Willie’s Reserve.

There are five openings listed for the company, including extractor, production manager, compliance officer, sales director, and a “bookkeeper/admin/office assistant.” Salaries start at $65,000.

You’ll need some experience, though. The company, expected to unveil its first products this summer in Colorado, is looking for candidates who’ve spent at least two years in the cannabis industry.

Willie’s Reserve aims to offer the best product for consumers by ensuring the independence of small farmers and encouraging ecologically sound cultivation practices, spokesman Michael Bowman told the Daily Beast:

“Let’s just call it the anti-Walmart model. Personally, internally, that’s what we call it.”
