Cannabis Farmer’s Almanac — Outdoors, look at trichomes to estimate ripeness and begin flushing if necessary. Remove any ripening buds that show early signs of infection by mold. Purchase harvesting supplies. Indoors, revisit sanitation protocols and consider source clones in preparation for a winter run.

TV — Monday: See if your favorite television shows pick up the hardware at the 70th Emmy Awards on NBC  | Tuesday: Comedian Tom Arnold searches for potentially damaging recordings in “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes” premiering on Viceland | Friday: Emma Stone and Jonah Hill star in Netflix’s new dark comedy miniseries, “Maniac”.

Film — Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore dissects the Trump presidency with his latest film, Fahrenheit 11/9; John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix star in the comedic western The Sisters Brothers; SNL legend Gilda Radner is the focus of the documentary Love, Gilda.

Music — Australian-American punk rockers Liars release Titles with the Word Fountain as a follow-up to last year’s album; Synthpop vets Metric return with their 7th studio album, Art of Doubt; Prince’s first posthumous album Piano & A Microphone 1983 is a rare treat discovered in his personal vault.

Sports — The Seattle Seahawks take on the Chicago Bears for your Monday Night matchup; the pennant race heats up in the NL West as the Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, and Los Angeles Dodgers vie for postseason berths.

Fashion — Rumor has it that Tom Sachs and Nike are working on a new iteration of their ultra popular Mars Yard sneaker, which is currently fetching over $3,000 in resale value.

Just weeks from a commercial cannabis sales launch, Boston rallied for cannabis freedom like never before. . . . Utah medical cannabis advocates kicked off their Proposition 2 campaign. . . . About 100 medical cannabis dispensaries in Michigangot a reprieve, after a judge halted a plan by state regulators to shut them down. … A trio of cannabis churches in Riverside, California got rolled up by police, who found 100 pounds and $75,000. . . .  And Colorado authorities reported pulling 81,000 illicit plants out of national forestlands in 2017. Most of it grew on just 38 acres. Last year’s seizures were double 2016. But 2018 is expected to see declines.
