Tons of people out there still think that cannabis use is synonymous with laying on your couch and binging on Netflix and potato chips. But as cannabis becomes part of mainstream culture in legal states, there are fitness enthusiasts who are determined to flip the “lazy stoner” stereotype on its head and show that cannabis can be used as part of—and even enhance—an active lifestyle.
Find the Right Strain for Your Fitness Routine
One of the ways they’re doing it? Through awesome infused fitness classes and events in legal markets.Round up a few pre-rolls and get your sweat (and smoke) on.
Mary Jane Fonda in Portland, Oregon

The workouts at Mary Jane Fonda are no joke; most events feature at least two trainers leading participants through circuits, high intensity intervals, and cardio exercises meant to get the heart pumping. If you’re looking for a chill routine, MJF also offers “mind workouts” that combine meditation and a slow-flow yoga practice.

The 420 Games in California (various locations)
Running and cannabis go hand-in-hand (come on…haven’t you ever heard the term “runner’s high?”). And while you can certainly incorporate cannabis into your solo runs, if you want to get your run on with other weed-friendly running enthusiasts, you’re definitely going to want to check out the 420 Games.
According to their website, the 420 Games were “established to show that cannabis users are NOT lazy, unmotivated or ‘stoners’ and to de-stigmatize the millions who use cannabis in a healthy and responsible lifestyle.” Now in its fifth year, the 420 Games hosts annual events in Los Angeles and San Francisco where participants crush a 4.2-mile run. In addition, 420 Games has plenty of opportunities for weed-infused workouts, including pre and post-run yoga sessions, basketball tournaments, and other location-dependent events (the recent Los Angeles 420 Games featured a skate contest).
