Welcome back to another New Strains Alert! This week we are sharing some of 2018’s most anticipated cannabis strains as well as a new collaborative cut between Josh D (the dankest dude around) and Karma Genetics, a couple cuts from Archive Seed Bank out of Oregon, and many, many more.
If you are lucky enough to sample any of these funky flowers, leave a review and help inform the cannabis community at large.
Mimosa
Mimosa by Symbiotic Genetics is a rising star in the cannabis community. This strain has garnered praise for its outstanding fruit punch, citrus rind aroma and pleasurable mid-level buzz. Mimosa is a cross of Clementine and Purple Punch, and has been known to contain respectable percentages of the terpeneslimonene and beta-caryophyllene. Like the beverage, there is no bad time to enjoy Mimosa, but if you enjoy too much, the trajectory of your day will need adjusting.
Pinkman Goo
Pinkman Goo by Twompson Praeter is an unusual flower with a fascinating mutation. While the genetic background of this strain remains unknown, the seedstock was discovered by Praeter’s sister, hidden in an Altoid container behind a stove. Pinkman Goo earned its name from the resinous drops that develop on the astoundingly pink flowers during photosynthesis. This mutation has been said to raise the THC content by up to 4% compared to buds without it. Keep an eye out for Pinkman Goo from CaliCropDoc.
Foul Mouth
Foul Mouth by Dungeons Vault Genetics is a clever name for this weird and wonderful strain. Created by crossing Dookies (Diesel x GSC) and Grandpa’s Breath, this strain inherits both the sweet, pungent aroma of Dookies and the savory funk of Grandpa’s Breath. Foul Mouth’s buds are dense, bulbous, and covered in trichomes, expressing light tones of purple throughout the foliage, while the effects are mellowing and sedative. This strain is a good option for reducing stress and settling in after a long day.
999
999 is a strain collaboration between Josh D (breeder of OG Kush) and the illustrious Karma Genetics. This potent mashup of Tahoe OG Kush, Triangle Kush, and Biker Kush hones in on the best attributes of Kush genetics while enhancing the overall complexity of flavor. When it comes to aroma, 999 blasts traditional, yet amplified, notes of pine, citrus, and funky earth.
Black Cheese
Black Cheese by Big Buddha Seeds is a funky and aromatic cross of rare San Fernando Valley genetics and Big Buddha’s Cheese. Not much is known about this strain other than its parentage, Black SFV x Big Buddha Cheese. It is known to offer deeply relaxing sensations in the body while delivering dynamic aromas of cheese rind, flowers, and pungent funk. Black Cheese’s long-lasting physical effects linger in the limbs and help dissolve stress and pain.
The Vision
The Vision is a hybrid strain bred by Archive Seed Bank in Oregon. It combines genetics from the classic Ohio Lemon G, famous for her strong lemon peel and Christmas wreath flavor, and the resinous, award-winning Do-Si-Dos. This strain was created as a testament to the vision of a brighter future through the propagation and cultivation of quality cannabis.
True Face
True Face by Archive Seed Bank is a hybrid strain worth sharing. Created from the award-winning genes of True OG and the funk-reeking wrecking ball that is Face Off OG, True Face is a potent strain for OG lovers everywhere. Smelling of sour citrus and a leaky gas tank, this strain blends the pungent undertones of its parents deftly. The heavy physical effects and hazy mental stone make True Face a must-have for discarding stress and encouraging rest.
