The Victoria location of Karuna is probably the best dispensary in Vancouver. Metta Lounge looks nice and has the prestige of buzzing you into the inner confines, however, it does not feel like the same company. I'm sure they are fine people, however, my experience has been poor, for the most part, in regard to my interactions with employees. Of the handful of visits to this location, only one time has the propper discount been freely applied to my purchase. The disingenuous "sorry about that," is somewhat hard to believe given the concurrent episodes.

Congolese is the cleanest, most natural high I've ever experienced. The taste is of grass, earth, and spicy pine. It is delicious. Rarely does a marijuana experience make me feel as though I've "turned on," but Congolese inspires this feeling, which I'd describe as being in-tune with your environment. It is unique in this way so far as my experience goes. It has uplifting, euphoric and sensory enhancement, and also is relaxing and appetite inducing.

Neville's Haze is an above-average Haze strain, with effects that lean toward the weightless cerebral kind, which I'm told are redolent of the earlier Haze varieties. The particular strain that I tried was one that was crossed with a variety called "citrus haze," which combine to create a highly pleasant lime flavor, which with the natural lemony flavor of Neville's Haze makes for delicious vapor bag and smoke. I find it to inspire racing thoughts and a brooding reflectiveness, which might not make it the best for anxiety or those looking for euphoria and relaxation.

Sage and Sour is an exceptional strain that offers one of the most vibrant, euphoric and focused effects the Sativa flower has to offer. Having never tried Sage, I can't speak to its presence, however, the Sour Diesel certainly is. The smell and flavor of Sour Diesel are somewhat mild, however, the experience certainly leans toward it. Leafly calls Sour Diesel a strain which is suited for medical purposes from pain to depression and anxiety. The same can be said about Sage n Sour. Edit: While in low doses Sage n Sour can present with euphoric and relaxed properties, in higher doses I've noticed it can provoke particularly acute anxiety/paranoia.

Alaskan Thunderfuck is a strain whose name matches its effects. While there is an initial uplift coinciding with a sort of pseudo warming sensation, the experience melts into a weighty euphoria replete with full body relaxation. If there are energetic properties to ATF, they are present at the beginning of the high and fade away to a kind of mild background stimulation. It's not quite a Sativa which acts like an Indica but it hovers on the border, sometimes leaning one way and sometimes the other. As such it's somewhat of a challenge for me to assess medical properties because it neither caters to one side or the other with any consistency. It's just a thought, but attention defecit disorders might find ATF beneficial for managing stress.

Karuna is the best dispensary in Vancouver that I have yet experienced. I've been a member there for about four months and have not been back to any of the other dozen I hold memberships. Their product is consistently excellent, and the selection caters to every palate and ailment. I've read a number of poor reviews dating prior to when I was a member, and I must say that none of the issues reported previously are currently in effect. Although their prices could be considered on the higher side, their many daily specials make getting the medicine that you need comparatively affordable. In addition, the Victoria location staff are good people. Friendly, and for the most part specifically knowledgeable about cannabis and its application, they provide a quality service that is among the best in Vancouver.

White Widow is a tasty, well-balanced hybrid. It delivers the tingly full body sensation of an Indica plant, while at the same time an uplifting cerebral high. The flavor of this plant is another one of its salient characteristics. It has an earthen spice which truly tastes like it has come from the earth. A plant that lives up to its hype, White Widow is a plant which is both great for those new to cannabis, as well as for long-term users. Medically speaking, it could be used for the treatment for a wide range of mild symptoms, however, I find that it is a somewhat shortlived high, and does not provide a full-Sativa or full-Indica experience. Because of it's versatility it is not ideal for the targeted treatment of symptoms.

Lemon Jack is a great strain to consume if you want the stimulation without the psychoactivity. It does have a bit of a body kick to it, as both Jack Herer and Skunk varieties do, however, it is quite a bit more of a shaky-too-many-cups-of-coffee buzz than it is a euphoric one. That being said, it is certainly energizing, but I personally prefer mood elevating properties in my cannabis

Love potion is a fairly strong Sativa dominant hybrid, however, the Sativa dominance does little to augment the full force body buzz. I could see this strain as a competitor for treatment in a number of significant symptoms. I would say that those looking for relief from the symptoms and side effects of chemotherapy, radiation, intense drug treatments, epilepsy, Parkinson's, MS should give Love Potion a shot for day time, or functional night time relief. On the surface, this seems like a lot to promise from a Sativa flower, and I wouldn't suggest it as a primary medicine for those suffering from the mentioned conditions, however, because of its mood elevating properties and Indica body buzz, Love Potion is a good choice for managing physical and psychological ailments. On the recreational side, Love-Potion is a great all-purpose plant, however I would send those looking for a strictly Sativa-oriented experience to Super Lemon Haze, Super Silver Haze, Green Crack etc.
