Pluto Kush

Bought an HP of this strain. Had never had it but the deal was too good. Didn’t try it till I busted open the vacuum bag. The aroma is a combination of Jack Herer’s fruitiness with skunk. It is amazing. The effects are awesome and potent. Instant sedation. Think tranquilizer dart. And this is from a 1-2g/ day smoker. (3g on weekends 😑) What’s confusing is you can still speak and think. For a while. It’s pretty heady, but in large quantities (>1g) you’re going to be pretty. Dopey. Those are my favorite strains. And there aren’t many out there.

This is a great pure indica strain. I grew my own from Crop King Seeds and was pleasantly surprised by the ease of the grow, the minimal nutrients needed, the trichrome production and potency.. (I recommend using Fox Farms nutrients to increase yields.) After a long cure, I've been smoking it all week. My buddy best described the NL buzz as a "stupid" high. You're fine to speak and carry on a conversation, but you really don't want to. It's great for pain relief binge watching. It's not great for anxiety. At least that was my experience was. Whatever your mood, this will maintain and couch lock you as soon as you sit. I had some in the am before walking to get some groceries. Perfectly able to function and pretty chill. Listening to Bush.

Just reviewing the growing of this plant; when I smoke this strain in the next few weeks, it will be from my own organic indoor plant. If you are thinking of growing, this plant is perfect for the noob, including me. It is durable, easy to grow and resistant to all problems. My approach was do no harm. I germinated two autofem seeds from Crop King Seeds with wet paper towels, just as they suggested. The tap root appeared in about 4 days. Then I moved them to small 6" terra cotta pots. Later to large 15" terra cotta pots. They weren't fed much: Jobe's organic fertilizer (chicken bones, etc, not salt based) each week, but lightly. They were grown under a $29 LED array from Amazon. For the last two weeks of bloom, I decided to feed them some Fox Bloom fertilizer (worm castings and bat guano) to fatten the lower nugs. I used terra cotta spikes and wine bottles to keep the soil perfectly moist. Five months after germination, I'm looking at 5 - 7 ounces as I stagger my harvest. (The lower part of the plant bloomed later than the top). The bud is dank. Lots of crystals all over the leaves of flowers. True to online advice, the white hairs turned orange. When mostly orange, I began the harvest. Bottom line: easy to grow; looking forward to the experience. Yield is already 2.5 ounces with at least that much left on the two plants. I project 7 ounces with a per gram cost of $1.16. Now I'm trying an autofem GG4 indoors and a couple regular seeds outdoors now that spring has arrived. (I used seed starter pods on a couple photocycle seeds with mixed results. Be sure to cut open that pod to allow roots to grow.)

White Widow

Unimpressed by the "legend." I was expecting a solid, balanced hybrid, akin to Jack Herer or something headier like Chemdawg. You get neither. I find this strain to be too perfectly balanced that you get NEITHER of the qualities I prefer in Indicas (relaxation) and sativa (creativity). To get either, I had to smoke a lot. White Widow is good when I have a lot and better when paired with OG Kush.

This strain is the cure for insomnia. I had a half J at about 8 and could barely keep my eyes open. I finished it a few minutes before going to be and slept like a baby. You can taste the OG roots with the pine. It was a little harsh with a Roor glass "scuba" tip, but not too bad. This one is all indica.

NYC Diesel

This is a great strain for activity. I have this at sporting events and concerts. Engages the brain and cuts anxiety. It will make the talkative even more so. Definitely a sativa dominant hybrid. Not as chill as Sour Diesel, and not as invigorating as Green Crack.

This is a new favorite for me. It's perfect for wake and bakes and continuing throughout the day. It engages your mind and is also relaxing. I didn't get couch locked at all, but motivated to do the errands and chores I needed to - with the occasional "what am I supposed to do here?"

Pre-98 Bubba Kush

Forgive me, Bubba! After my first two Js, I posted a mediocre review. How wrong I was. I spent the next two days smoking only you to see if I had somehow misjudged you. Not scientific, but fair. Behold a new judgment, a new review. Two fat Js, three Paz ovens and a blackoutx vape later, I'm willing to reconsider. Anyway. Bubba, you're good. Thanks.

Organic Caregivers

This is my second review. (Wish I could edit older ones for content I left off.) I visit this place at least once a week. Menu is on Weed Maps, so I know what I can get. I have also found their recommendations to be spot on. They have some interesting crosses and a lot of go to strains. I was new to cannabis in 2012, so I slowly realized how knowledgeable they are - e.g. Not pushing a specific strain. Their herb is top quality and their prices and the best. I can regularly get 6-7 grams (including the shake J) for $60. And that's for really potent medicine. The Strawberry Diesel, Gorilla Glue, Tahoe OG, Alien x Glue, Tangerine Dream, and many others are some of the most potent green I've had. For the value, service and quality, I need not look any further. Their concentrate selection is smaller, but adequate. A gram of good wax is $45.
