The REEF Detroit

This place is one of the most awesome looking places inside and out. Impressive. Very cool and relaxed atmostphere - huge waiting room. Almost like a hangout. Back room - well, inventory was light compared to the pictures you see online - Detroit stores can't carry edibles anymore (BOOOOOO HISSSSSS), so a lot of the cases are empty. The stuff I got, buds are loose - not tightly packed. I'm new to this so I don't know if that's a big deal or not, but the Purple Alien I got elsewhere was tighter and a darker purple. This is a HUGE facility and if Detroit could get its shit together this would be 1 of 2 places I'd visit on 8 Mile. I would have loved to have seen all the edibles this place provided prior to the change in law.

Of all the places on 8 Mile I've visited, this is the best of them. They had a nice selection and the Monster Cookie buds I got are beautiful. Perfectly dried, tight, and clean buds. These buds are SUPERIOR to those I got before from another 8 Mile dispensary.

Very smooth, light, and smells marvelous. I vaped this. It didn't give me a long lasting high - probably 1/2 hour. Then had to hit it again. It did help with pain relief, but as I'm looking for sleep it won't be my go to. I had to use a bit of gummy bear on top of this to get to sleep. I might have canna oil with this one.

HOLY KABLAMMO! I was looking for something for sleep, as in knock me out, and THIS IS IT! It could also be renamed as "Punch in the Face". Immediate results. I sure wouldn't hit this and drive. Hit it - go to bed.

Bloom City Club - Medical

I got my card Saturday morning, and was here Saturday afternoon. They set the bar very high! Awesome place. I really loved it here and felt comfortable. I'm new to all of this and they were great. Too bad I don't live in Ann Arbor - I'd be here more. Rebecca was my budtender and she was very helpful. She educated me on a few things, talked me into trying vaping (smoking hurts my lungs too much), gave suggestions on what to try and taught me to let your nose do the picking after they make the suggestions. There is a large waiting room and a restroom. Not all places have a restroom. It's ran by women, and apparently the growers are women - so that's pretty cool. And pesticide free. They use neem and other natural ways to keep bugs off the plants during grow time. This place had the largest selection of edibles, butters, storage containers, just everything. Clean, organized, friendly, educational, in a nice neighborhood with a pastry/coffee shop across the street. Parking could be an issue, but you can park on the side street by the coffee place. It's an hour away, but I'll be back there.

House of Dank Recreational Cannabis - 8 Mile

This place did not live up to the hype. I felt rushed and I was the only person there. It wasn't very clean in the backroom, or organized for that matter. They act like they are all that, but I don't think they are. There are better places to go. I can't fully comment on my purchase since I'm a bed time user and haven't tried it yet. I may update my review for the bud quality, but I'm pretty sure it's not pesticide free - which I need for making edibles. I didn't like that they photo copied my id. The other places I've been to didn't do that.

I'm new to all of this medical marijuana stuff and I was a bit leery of going to any place by myself, but THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! They weren't in a rush with me, they were patient, educated me on a few things, and just took their time explaining everything. Another plus - they don't disappear into the back with your ID. #1 - It's not on 8 Mile - big plus right there. Most of those places are more for party type people. I wasn't comfy in the 2 I visited today. Here, at Green Harvest Caregivers I FELT AT HOME and WELCOMED. #2 - These guys know their supply and can help you pick out a good selection for whatever ails ya. I'm in this for chronic pain and insomnia. One of the gents totally helped me pick what he thought would be good for me. I'll find out this eve when I take my bedtime dose (I'm basically just a bedtime user). #3 - It's clean. Organized. Welcoming atmosphere. I didn't feel like a stranger in a strange land there. #4 - They don't use sprays. This is of the utmost importance to me as I'll mainly being making edibles out of what I bought. #5 - Wide variety of buds for sale. I think they had the largest selection of the handful of places I've visited in the last 4 days. #6 - They'll educate you! Who knew there were so many different types of rolling papers? THIS IS GOING TO BE MY GO TO PLACE and it should be yours too. Honest engine, you won't be sorry you went here.
