Main Street Marijuana - Longview

6/28/2020
I have shopped here for years. Never again. I have spent hundreds of dollars at this store since it opened. Today was the last straw. Main Street sells defective cartridges and refuses to stand by their own return policy. I had a receipt, had the defective cartridge, and told them that the coil was burnt, and produced a foul vapor that wasn’t actually cannabis vapor but burnt cotton wick. They assumed I was trying to scam them, or something, and said that they “don’t take cartridges back for taste” and that they refuse to take a cartridge that “produces vapor” and refused to believe me when I said it was not vapor but cotton smoke from the burning wick. They then said that they had problems with the brand I was returning, admitting that I was right and that they had sold me a defective product! Yet they still refused to return the cartridge. I have actually had bad tasting cartridges from them in the past and never returned a single one because of the taste! I was a loyal customer for years since they opened the Longview location, but I will never spend my hard-earned money there again. I suggest everyone else do the same. They do not care about their customers and do not stand behind their products. The condescending, accusatory way I was called a liar today, when I was clearly in the right, means that Main Street Marijuana has lost my business forever.

Loving Farms - Mount Vernon

Your basic weed store. Tucked in a rural/industrial area, with a new looking interior and fairly good prices. Cheapest concentrates in Skagit county which isn't saying much. They have some good peroll deals too. They could do more to address the budget market, especially with quality budget rosin like that from JV Ranch (which I implore you, loving farms employees, if you are reading this, to stock). They could make a killing.

Lines can be long and people can be real jerks about it if you don't know where the line starts. Prices are rounded up ever so slightly from their previous ones before the tax hit. Their bud is consistently good but they don't usually have anything stellar unless it's on the top shelf. Now they are a premium spot though, nothing close to a $20 eighth here.

Terpene Station - Portland

The bud is good but prices are out of this world. Bud is all prepackaged so they are often out of grams when they have eighths etc. No price break for weight, gram prices all the way up. Bud comes in annoying bags that are opaque, hard to open, flatten your nug into a little bud pancake, and collect keif in the seams so they have to be torn open afterwards. Location is laid out awkwardly, they have a lot of staff but sniff jars encourage solo exploration. They have a couple strains worth buying but nothing incredibly unique that can't be found other places. Good outdoor when they have it. But really their packaging and high prices have worn on me making terpene station no longer a go-to dispensary for me.

Blackberry Kush

This is why I smoke weed. The grow from R and J Organic in Oregon is beautifully fragrant and frosty and the smell feels psychoactive itself somehow, perhaps due to a placebo effect. Will chillax you.

A great sativa that makes my eyes narrow and my mouth smile. Some goofy stuff.

Raspberry kush is a standby for me. Great relaxing, uplifting, stress relieving high that you feel in your forehead.

Nectar - Sandy & 33rd

Recreational review. This is an ok dispensary. I basically come here because it's on the bus route and because they stay open late after I get off work. They are nothing too special, they have good bud at the higher price ranges, like $11-14 a gram, and sometimes their $10 a gram stuff is good too. They run out of strains a lot and their leafly menu doesn't reflect their true stock most of the time. They are pretty friendly and the location is decent. Nothing to complain about really besides the prices.

Kaleafa Cannabis Co - Portland

Kaleafa has the best selection of recreational bud of anywhere I've been. Prices are $2 a gram extra for recreational though, on top of their usual $10 a gram, plus a $2 fee for running a debit card, so it adds up. Not like some places charging 14-15 a gram though. The dude behind the counter was friendly and mad chill even though I was the last customer of the night and they were closing up. I like the way they weigh it out for you in front of you and will snap off stems and replace them with bud. I could see the small location getting pretty crowded if there were lots of customers, which could be a potential downside. They have lots of amenities while waiting though, like k-cup coffee and some red vines and weed magazines.

Bullrider

I got some OK Bullrider, not great. I'm sure this strain is better when properly grown. It's an Indica-dominant hybrid that took me a couple bowls to get where I wanted to be. I got nine grams of littles for free from a trimmer friend, and have smoked bigger buds as well. Not a huge fan- it doesn't have very much character and it's not as potent as a lot of other strains out there.
