I can't verify 100% that what's in my nug jar is Blueberry, but I'd bet money on it. It's what my supplier called it, the buds look exactly like the pics on leafly, and the smell, taste, and effects are all spot on. After about two months of smoking the same greenhouse Sour Diesel, this hydro-grown treat has me soaring to forgotten heights. I took a couple puffs, marveled at the taste and the smoothness of the smoke, and then found myself studying the beautiful buds for like 45 minutes, lol. Relaxed, happy...absolutely. Now I'm enjoying a cup of coffee, and my sense of taste is outrageously inflated...this is a great smoke. My girl loves indicas...I can't wait for her to give this one a try!
I probably felt the nuances of this strain more than most, since I've spent the last month smoking GG#4 exclusively. The first thing I noticed was the dark green color compared to the tennis ball hue of the GG. The smell is dank and thick, almost cloying. Coughing is a given for me when I hit this strain. Sativa through and through...no laziness involved in this high, energetic and uplifting. Muy cerebral.
This was the first strain I tried after moving to the Boston area. The guy asked me what I wanted, and I was honest...I'm from a conservative hellhole southern state, so I've never been able to get my hands on some truly fine, fresh, potent herb. I really had no clue what I was looking for. After explaining that I have insomnia, he practically insisted on Romulan. He was right...the dark green nugs knocked me on my ass. It was a thick, rich, potent smoke...two hits was plenty. Ten was even better =) Its unbelievable how long I spent smoking trash weed...Romulan is the perfect example of what a smoking session is supposed to be. Will definitely buy this strain again if I ever have trouble sleeping...or for a night in with my wife with a movie and lots of munchies.
I recently moved from a state where MJ is still criminalized to a state where it's recreationally legal...so as you can imagine, as a smoker, I'm like a kid who got teleported to live in Disney World where every day is Christmas. I've been trying as many strains as possible, and my most recent was GG4. I actually found this strain to be a little underwhelming, given all of the glowing testimonials, but its still a potent flower.
The overwhelming scent when I broke the seal on the 1/4 was pine...I got some faint citrus and floral notes, as well. The first thing I noticed was that these nugs were COATED in trichs...they looked like flocked Christmas trees. When I got into them with my scissors, it was clear that the buds were just saturated with resin...this strain's namesake, I guess. It provided a pleasant-tasting, mellow smoke, which surprised me...I expected something harsher based on how resinous the buds are. Tastes piney with a hint of citrus.
The high is mellow, for me. I must have gotten bud with a lower THC content than everyone else on this site...I didn't get head-blasted or couchlocked. Just a nice, smooth, paranoia-free high. I'll put it this way - I just learned to drive a standard. Not too great at it yet. When I smoked Romulan, I couldn't even start the car. On GG#4, I drove better.
Even though most recommend it for bedtime, this is actually going to be my everyday smoke...at least while its available. Seriously considering purchasing a zip just to have it around! Plus, scraping the trichs off of my scissors and saving up a little pile of poor man's hash is a great bonus!
