Local Leaf
11/19/2017
Over the past year, Local Leaf has become my go-to dispensary. The quality of their products is always top tier, and you can tell that they put effort into selecting high-grade medicinals for their customers. Local Leaf's service is probably my favorite thing about their location. Every single time I go in, they always greet me with a warm welcome. Wait times are never too long, and in the chance that they are, they offer FREE Mrs. Packman on an arcade table. Lastly, the atmosphere is more spacious than it looks, and there's a great deal of artwork that relates to marijuana culture in a fun way. Staff at Local Leaf are always very open to answering questions, so drop and by, and give it a shot.
PAX Era Pods Strain Specific
10/30/2017
I picked up my first PAX Era and PAX Era Pod this last Friday evening, and I am really loving it. After talking to my budtender about the many different features, I was impressed to learn that this sleek and discrete device comes with its own application. Using the application in conjunction with the PAX Era allows you to customize the name of your PAX, the color of the draw light on your PAX, temperature (in increments of 10), and it even allows you to lock the device. Unfortunately the PAX Era Pods themselves only come in sizes of up to .5g. These are pre-filled canisters, and you cannot refill them yourself. The battery life goes down really fast, but it does a great job of delivering a quality puff every time. I wish the application was a bit more detailed and intuitive, but the product overall is really well made, and I appreciate the thought that went into crafting an oil pen like this. I have been enjoying my PAX Era Pod pretty liberally, and it seems I still haven't make a dent three days in. If you're even the least bit curious after reading this review, go ahead and treat yourself. The initial set up is actually very affordable. Cheers!
La Mota Beaverton

Until today, I used to be a regular at La Mota. I came in looking for Select Strains cartridges, and I noticed that they were all gone. I asked what happened, and the budtender hits me with, "That information is not allowed to be given to the public." What? I asked if they did something bad, and that's where he became frustrated with me and told me, very defensively, to stop digging for information. All I did was inquire as to why my favorite company was removed from the shelves. I was not trying to stir the pot. I was only looking for answers, and being met with that kind of standoff-ish attitude is exactly why I will not be returning as a regular. I actually won't be returning at all, and I plan to take my business to your competition down the road where prices are cheaper alongside daily deals. I do not know why this budtender chose to act in this manner, but it cost you a customer that would come in weekly for cartridges. I would have happily tried a different company had salt not been stuck to the budtender's demeanor. Instead, I apologized for bothering him, which I should not have had to do, and I walked out very disappointed. Customers with genuine questions should never be made to feel like a burden.
Swazi Gold

Swazi Gold offers a pretty enjoyable high, and is surprisingly effective at relieving pain. I sometimes get a little anxiety within the first couple minutes of partaking, but that usually subsides not long after. I think this strain would be great for people seeking an energetic yet soothing experience.
Parlour Cannabis Shoppe

I think this location and the staff are nothing shy of fantastic. The quality of the flower, the organization of the shop, and the friendliness of the people working there will keep me coming back. I was just in today, and I got some really great OG Girl Scout Cookies. Definitely stop in and give this place a try. Special shout out to Levi and Shannon (I am so sorry if I got your names wrong).
Sour Tsunami
4/30/2016
My sciatica has been acting up, and I needed something to help with the pain of just standing up and sitting down, so I went and got some of this lovely flower. This strain is very fast-acting, and it does a great job of taking the sharp point off the pain. There is hardly any THC in this strain, so you may want to consider mixing this with another strain of your choosing for your desired effect. Sour Tsunami is meant to help with pain versus make you feel stoned. Cheers!
Lamb's Bread

This was pretty tame for a Sativa strain. I felt a small burst of energy, but it didn't seem very euphoric-inducing. The bud looked great and smelled like fresh rain. This felt more like a hybrid to me, and I could definitely see this being more geared toward those that are Sativa sensitive or want just a little bit of energy added to their high. I tried mixing this with some Blue Dream, and I experienced a very balanced, long-lasting high. Try it out if you want. Cheers!
Hindu Kush
4/23/2016
I formerly knew this strain under the alias "Jager Kush", but those days have come and gone. Hindu Kush is fantastic for pain, stress, and sleep. I have an acquaitance that has been smoking nothing but this strain for the past 5 months, and he says he's not even close to being tired of it. When I tried Hindu Kush, I felt this huge wave of relaxation followed by pain relief followed by a gradual sleepy feeling. This is great for a night in or if you're really needing some help keeping stress down. Make sure you have everything you need before partaking, because you're not going to want to do much. Cheers!

Holy moly, I am pretty impressed with the high CBD content of this strain, and I'd recommend it to anyone needing pain relief without wanting to feel high or stoned. There are very minimal THC levels in this particular strain, so those that are sensitive to THC don't need to worry. If you are wanting to feel high or stoned, in addition to getting pain relief, I'd recommend grinding up or mixing this strain with another of your choosing. That way you can have the best of both worlds! You could combine this with an Indica for nighttime, or you could combine this with another Sativa for the daytime. Maybe mix this with a hybrid and keep it 50/50? There are many combinations you can try with this versatile strain, so see what's right for you! Cheers!
