Pros: Emerald Phoenix is very clean and professional. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They sport a large selection of strains and different products to choose from. Prices are mid to high, but they always host daily specials. Cons: Emerald pre-packages their grams in the little tear-open zip-lock bags. I don't like that, as the bud seems drier when it's dispensed that way.

The flower at Metro Meds is always en pointe, and their edibles and concentrates are outstanding. The price point is very reasonable, plus they run daily specials on top of that. The atmosphere and service I receive is what really keeps me coming back. EVERY staff member I have encountered has been warm and welcoming. The budtenders are all extremely knowledgeable about their products, and honest as well -- they'll tell you what works and what doesn't, and not just try to sell you something. They always let me take my time and answer all my questions; I never feel rushed. I really feel like family there. Their quality is consistent, their prices are good, and their staff can't be beat. Definitely check this one out!

This review is for flower of the Emerald Phoenix version, "Euphoric". Overall, pretty disappointed. I opened the sealed package, and noted the scent was faint and smelled more like hay (sample jar at the dispensary smelled much better; sweet and heady). Smoked a bowl, and although I got a decent buzz, it was in no way particularly "euphoric" at all, and was somewhat short-lived. Also, true to dry weed, it was very harsh on my throat and the flavor was grassy. I give it 3 stars because I did get a buzz. Doubt I'd purchase this batch again.

I wish I had read the reviews before I spent money here. What they say about the flower is true--it's usually dry, stemmy, and not very good,compared to what I get at other dispensaries. The thing I dislike the most is is no matter what "Tier level" you get, it's ALWAYS little "popcorn" buds...real small. The quality is mediocre at best, definitely overpriced for what you get. The service has been the most unpersonal and unfriendly I've had of all the dispensaries I've visited. Pretty much every time I've visited, no matter who waited on me, I felt more like a bother to them than welcome, and always feel rushed...they have a horrible habit of snatching up the sample jar and putting it away as soon as you set it down, before you get a chance to compare it to anything else. It's annoying because I have to ask them to pull out the same strain several times so I can look and compare it. I haven't tried their edibles, so can't speak to that. It's gotten to the point that I don't like visiting Yilo because the bud is overpriced for what you get, and I don't like interacting with their staff. I would go here only as a last resort.

Got this from Emerald Phoenix in Phoenix, AZ. Fantastic strain! Now I understand what all the hype is about! Such a pleasant smoke all around, both aesthetically and in effect. The euphoria is great--I get a wonderful head high, but still alert enough to function. I have energy and motivation, but no jitters or anxiety some sativas produce. I definitely feel happy and relaxed, uplifted. Overall, I love the strength of the head buzz, and am delighted with having this amount of energy without feeling jittery or anxious. Definitely lifts my mood, leaves feeling happy and relaxed. And definitely picking this up whenever I can.

Bought this at Arizona Natural Remedies a couple weeks ago. I did NOT like the Yumboldt 47 I got here. The buds smell TOO much like fuel; VERY pungent, almost stings my nose. Taste is STOUT, draw expands my lungs, makes me cough a lot. As an Indica, I was told it would be good for sleep and pain. I (forced) smoked about 4 bowls, and I never felt drowsy or sleepy. Didn't notice much in pain relief. Tasted too horrible to finish the rest, so I'm GIVING this one away. I've heard some pheno's of this strain are quite good, but imo, this isn't the one.

I was having one of those days where the tension builds and builds until you're wound tight as knot. I needed something to relax, STAT, but it was only late afternoon and I still had stuff to do. PMB did exactly what I needed it to! I smoked one bowl of flower, and immediately started feeling effects. I got a nice, heady stone, and I could feel the tension quickly begin to melt. While the cerebral high was a wonderful buzzy stone, it still allowed me to function with clarity, while relaxing me and letting me just...chill. I think 2 bowls would have set me just perfect. Love it!

Arianna #3, from Nature's AZ Medicines in Phoenix, AZ, is a wonderful High-CBD strain, testing at 6.8% CBD and 6.3% THC. I suffer with chronic pain, and I was amazed at how effective it was for me the first time I tried it. As it's higher in CBD than THC, there isn't really a head buzz, as much as a sweet, all-over body buzz--a gentle numbing that eases my pain away. And though it doesn't make me high, it still eases my mind, as well. It has a sweet flavor that's a pleasure to smoke. I rank this up there with ACDC, and I would likely choose it over ACDC. This is definitely my favorite go-to strain for pain and discomfort.

Wow... As for me, this strain gets a standing ovation 👏 👏 👏 After 30 years of chronic use, I have an EXTREMELY high tolerance, and have a hard time getting truly high. THIS strain is the first one I've smoked lately that actually got me STONED. So delighted! Got this from Nature's Medicines. Opened the container, and hit with a decidely pungent smell. Buds are DANK, practically juicy, and very sticky. Scissors work better, grinder not so much. Taste matches scent, but is pleasant. It's also stout, and found it best not to draw too deeply. Oh, sweet, sweet buzzy oblivion! I have chronic pain, so I like to mix a little of this with a nice CBD strain, and I get awesome pain relief with a lovely head high. Definitely a new favorite.
