Bubblegum Kush

The moment I opened the baggy I was met with a pungent but delightful scent, which only got stronger after a trip through the grinder. When smoked, it translates into a harsh, tasty flavour and an amazing high for an Indica strain. Very enjoyable for calm and artistic activities, it's really easy to visualise things on this strain.

Laughing Buddha

This one wasn't exactly cheap at the coffeeshop, so I only tried about two grams. Its taste can be best summed up as a pungent earthern smoke with a light aftertaste of citrus fruit. It may be a strong sativa, but I think the 'laughing' part should be taken with caution. Laughing Buddha really seems to signify the vital rule of sativas and drugs in general: Be in a calm, enjoyable surrounding. Relax, and do things you like. You need something to distract your mind, otherwise it'll most likely try to entertain itself by annoying you. Excellent strain for the creative bursts, but purely for recreational use.

Amnesia Haze

Excellent strain for those late-night studies, although it's easy to lose track of time under its influence. Very cerebral, the need for mental stimulation (i.e. music) sets in pretty fast. In all, an enjoyable experience.

Bubble Gum

Its indica effects set in relatively fast, and noticeably strong. Barely even identifiable as a hybrid strain, I think the sativa strains in its breeding were purely for flavour.

Lemon Haze

A cheaper alternative to my usual soury purchases, it still carries a ridiculous percentage of THC and it carries a mental high along with a lemony flavour that leaves me in a dreamy state of mind.

NL5 Haze Mist

After a few rapid trenches and a smoked bowl, I have come to the conclusion that despite its absurdly high THC contents the tiny amount of CBD manages to completely suppress any anxiety, giving free way to enjoy the full benefits of the mental high.

(Fix of Overall Rating) Excellent strain, THC contents may be a bit much. Wonderful for artistic purposes, less so for tasks requiring attention.

NL5 Haze Mist

1/25/2014
I've only recently tried this one from the coffeeshops, but the 'NL5 Haze' as it was named on the list appearantly has a history as the 1st place in the Hydro category at the High Times Cannabis Cup 1996. While technically a hybrid, its THC content (14,64%) is far higher than its CBD content (1,22%). Its taste is a light mixture of berries, nuts and wood, surprisingly fresh. The effects of the strain match its gentle flavours as the high is mostly cerebral and a very pleasant mixture of calming and uplifting. Whatever tiny amount of CBD is in this strain does an excellent job in keeping away any anxiety. One drawback: It incites quite a thirst. That bottle of water was meant for clearing my taste buds, not to hydrate my dry mouth.

Bubble Gum

An indica-dominant hybrid, with a surprising flavour. Instead of being met with something typically sweet, it was a very light fruity scent. The indica effects kick in pretty fast, a light drowsiness being the main noticeable effect. The euphoria doesn't set in without a proper cause, but when there's a reason to laugh it just feels even better.

Chocolope Kush

A recent acquisition from the local coffeeshop, Choco Kush and its offspring are mostly indica-dominant hybrids with a surprisingly positive effect on the mind. The scent and flavours aren't anything out of the ordinary, I'd almost even call it a bit bland. Its effects make up for its bland flavours by offering all the indica benefits with a calm euphoric effect from its hybrid status. The iconic 'munchies' kick in decently fast, and is followed by a steadily growing drowsiness. I'd advise this one for medical use, preferably in the evenings though. Its full effects kick in after a few bowls/trenches, replacing most negative thoughts with a sleepiness and an appetite that would put bears to shame.
