Oregon Euphorics

I love this place, I really do! Great people, and I really do like Deschutes Growery's flower-- which they stock here exclusively. However, there's two things that could be improved upon: 1) About half of the flower I've purchased was too wet/undercured. Over an ounce so far in the brief time I've shopped here has been too wet to smoke in a joint, and dangerously moist to keep in a jar. I learned after my first purchase of 5 eighths, not to keep it unattended in it's container too long. After 4 days, I opened an eighth and noticed a foul, sour-laundry odor mixed with familiar attractive marijuana terpenes-- which is a good indication of bud-rot. I immediately checked the others and found that 3 were fine, but that one more eighth had suffered the same effect. Taste confirmed it. Dont get me wrong-- I LOVE Deschutes Growery's herb! They're talented growers who produce cleaner, better than average, tasty flower...But they've been selling their flower to you guys far too wet, and at best, undercured. Please demand that they finish their product before they bring it in. The 2nd thing I'd like to see improved upon: better price breaks for half-ounces and ounces. I have absolutely 0 incentive to ever buy an ounce here, as I would be paying the same price as 8 full-priced eighths. At my other favorite other place I shop, I have the choice of mixing and matching 8ths or quarters to make an ounce. Here's an example of what their price breaks look like for a $10 gram: $10g/$20 for 2g, $30 eighth/$60 quarter, $105 half ounce, $180 ounce. I would buy 1-2 ounces a month if you guys could offer more competitive prices, provided that you talk to DG about finishing their product better before they bring it in. As much as I love DG, there's no excuse for selling you guys an unfinished product! Their choice to rush a sale won't make them more money in the long run, if it hurts their reputation. I'm actually suprised not to have encountered that sickeningly over-ripe fruit odor (not aroma) when nosing the jars. When that odor suddenly develops, it means mold is not far off, just FYI.

Mr. Nice Guy - Bend

I'm a leafly menu shopper-planner. I usually pass on this place, but I occasionally find very good deals on high quality indoor here. I'm picky, and only buy dank indoor if and when I can find it competitively priced (just FYI). A Decent selection of outdoor and greenhouse is usually on the menu here, if that's your preference. There are generally a few good indoor options too, just not a ton of them. I really appreciate that they keep their leafly menu updated daily-- and that it's accurate! (I don't shop at the herb center, for example; because they often have menu items priced lower than they are selling them for, and they make little to no effective efforts to update their menu-- despite my numerous requests). I've honestly only visited this store a few times, but the employees have been friendly, professional, and well-trained each time I've been in. If they stocked herb from more of my favorite growers/distributors, like Deschutes Growery, Lucky Lion, Sugabud, Phresh, and Bomb Squad, -- I would visit more often! One more suggestion, if you don't mind: many people are not fans of pre-packaged herb, weighing it out is always better :) :) :)

Jenny's Dispensary Bend

Love this place! The employees usually seem in good spirits, and the customer service has always been top-notch. Been coming here for years since way back when they were a medical only dispensary. I'm very happy that the glass jars have returned...so long as the 20% off happy hour stays around, I'll keep coming back.

The Herb Center- Bend

Terrible service, and falsely advertised $3.50 gram by meraki gardens, but when i got there, it was $6.75. I told the budtender I'd drove an hour to get there and came just for that deal, and her rude reply was: "if we changed our menu every time we changed our inventory, wed never get anything at all done." EXCUSE ME but its your job to update your leafly menu every day, its not rocket science and there was 5 or 6 employees there so WTF?!? Not the first time ive been falsely baited by them byt it is certainly the last! Its ok, i was only shopping here because it was cheap, i would never pay full price for weed that sits in cedar-lined jars (lids are cedar, which ansorbs aromas) how incompetently can a dispensary be ran???

White Rhino

2/11/2019
White Rhino is a sativa dominant strain, with indica-like effects. She is not a hybrid of White Widow, she is one of her sisters! ("Misty" was the other sister). Whoever the **** is posting false information on leafly is doing this A LOT. I am very familiar with the strains i grew up with. Ask yourself this: would the information on a strain, provided by the breeder, during the time that the seeds were first being sold-- would that be more accurate than the info that randomly pops up on leafly about a strain 20-50 years later by someone who had nothing to do with the breeding???

Blueberry Cheesecake

2/8/2019
I have the highest testing sample of this strain on record, at 34.9% THC and 0.09% CBD (sorry I couldn't get the terp %, but it was stinky, complex and tastey. It really tasted like blueberry cheesecake, sharp, sour, sweet, and cream-cheesey!). However, that's not what inspired this review. I don't often encounter strains that make my condition worse, but this one did just that. (I use cannabis for stress management, which keeps my PTSD symptoms in check). I wont say it caused stress, but it did nothing to alleviate tension of the mind, in fact it had the opposite effect. It had a very uneasy headspace, devoid of any sort of feelings of contentment, peace, serenity, or well-being. It was not racy, paranoid, giddy, anxious, or euphoric-- just trippy, and uncomfortable...a creeper with good body relaxation, and an uneasy headspace. It made thinking and accomplishing tasks difficult, and nothing was fun in this restless, discombobulated headspace. Effects like this are extremely rare in my 23 years experience with cannabis as medicine. The sample was very clean, and expertly grown indoors-- so I know my bad experiences with this strain aren't due to dirty herb (ie; weed that has had foliar and canopy sprays applied...pesticides ect...). Perhaps it's this particular cut, but I can't recommend this batch to anyone needing stress relief, or even to anyone who just wants to get high--as the effects were not fun, or recreational. I wasn't having a bad day, Im a daily smoker and I'm not prone to having bad reactions to pot. It may just be an unusual cut, so I'll give it 5 stars to be fair!

This is the best place in town. Competitive prices, great selection, knowledgeable staff. Will be back, often--so long as things stay competitive!

Tokyo Starfish South Hwy 97

Melissa gave me a lot of misinformation when i asked if she could stock a specific brand of hemp-derived CBD oil...apparently, she thinks that Charlotte's Web (if harvested above 1% thc) is a genetically different plant then if harvested at below 1% thc (which would technically be consideted hemp)...wow that's ignorant. I was told they could not stock the item in question because it was derived from hemp, not cannabis-- which did not make sense for three reasons: 1) other dispensaries carry hemp derived products! 2) whether you harvest Charlotte's Web above or below 1% thc DOES NOT change the plant's genetics-- but rather changes it's governmental classification from cannabis to hemp...and 3) YOU ALREADY SELL CBD FLOWER THAT'S BELOW 1% THC, WHICH IS TECHNICALLY A HEMP PRODUCT!! SO DON'T TELL ME YOU CAN'T STOCK HEMP PRODUCTS!! Waste of time, and energy...oh and she was reluctant to give me her name after I said I would post a review about it...nice enough at first but not at all knowledgeable or professional.

Tokyo Starfish Box Factory

Updating my review...just wanted to say thank you to the owner for not only replying to my rant, but also for fixing the problem! Props to the owner for being one of the only ones who actually post negative reviews! I've not had a bad experience since my last post and have visited many times since. This dispensary is doing everything the right way, IMHO. Flower has been as good as anyone else's, and the prices are usually competitive for the most part. Cannabend wouldn't post my negative review! Tokyo is much better.
