The negative reviews for Misty Mountain are consistently based on poor customer service provided by their staff. Today, while I was waiting in line to pay, I witnessed a staff member struggling to turn on a Pulsar vape battery for another customer. So me being me, I suggested to the customer that they should consider buying the Flat Slim instead because they were better built, cheaper and supported USB-C charging. I told them that I've purchased every battery in the store (which is true) and based on that, the Flat was my favorite of what the store offered. This customer was super appreciative of this advice and thanked me for my suggestion. I joked with them that I spend so much time in the store that I should just start working there...... Apparently the manager took major offense to me doing all of this and shifted their attitude and demeanor from being nice and friendly to being snarky and rude. On my way out, the manager gave me a super condescending farewell. When I made it home I realized that the manager (intentionally?) failed to give me the 10% discount that they were promoting when I went into their store, so I called them to see what could be done about it. Unfortunately, the manager was the one that answered and their attitude was still the same as it was when I left the store ten minutes prior. The manager insisted that I drop what I was doing and come back to the store immediately to get reimbursed. They didn't appreciate me saying it was an inconvenience to come right back in that very moment and reluctantly told me I could come back in a few hours instead. I went back to the store about two hours later to get reimbursed. Thankfully, the person helping me this time around wasn't the same staff member I was dealing with before but, for whatever reason, this staff member was both visually and audibly upset by my presence after I mentioned that I was there for a refund. During the entire interaction with them their voice was cracking, their hands were shaking and their nervous mannerisms were making me uncomfortable. While going through the refund process with this trembling budtender, I mentioned that the person I had dealt with earlier that morning had a really bad attitude both before and after I made my purchase. Their response to this was "yea, I wasn't there but it sounds like they were just matching your energy" which caught me really off guard. I repeated it back to them "matching my energy?!" and they said "yea, apparently you were making comments about how you should be working here" and I just had to laugh at how childish this sounded. As I was leaving I told them I would be leaving my feedback in a review online and they encouraged me to do so then passive aggressively told me to have a nice nice day. I'll be taking my business to one of the other nearby dispensaries instead where the staff is consistently outclassing the folks here at Misty Mountain Cannabis.
