Granddaddy Purple

7/4/2024
I'm not a newbie with GDP. I tried it for the first time way back in July of 2011. I was already a seasoned and very well experienced smoker, and tolerance is not an issue for me. that being said, I was just browsing over random things here in Leafly, and came across the reviews for "Grand Daddy Purple". I started to read them, and could only make it through the first one I read... Omgoodness... I didn't know whether to laugh, or cry, or get pissed off, or what. it began with the following sentence..."I first tried Granddaddy Purple yesterday..." it went on to mention thick heavy smoke, sweet taste and smell, and then shifted gears, and made no bones about the fact that it took 20 minutes to begin to feel it's effects. On multiple occasions, the Author made direct reference to being mysteriously held down to the couch, and could only manage the energy to watch movie trailers numerous times in a row. and after that, the review went into a list of 5 things that it is good for. 1st one the list... Pain. it is Powerless against GDP !! Followed by Stress, anxiety, "Annoyance" and finally... insomnia. Couple of things... 1st... to the Author: I am so sorry to hear that you suffer from so many ailments, but hey... that's what we have GDP for, huh?!! I was just a little bit confused briefly though, because I have never heard of anyone suffering from something called Annoyance. I sometimes think I may have that though, now that you mention it. would you recommend having it looked into by a Medical Dr. or is it more of a Psychiatric condition? I would really like your opinion on the matter, especially since you have first hand knowledge of the signs/symptoms. 2ndly, to every person reading this... please pay attention to both this review, and the review that prompted this review. you have just been given a prime example of how NOT to write a review. the Author of the afore mentioned review would have you believe that he KNOWS that GDP helps with 4 out of 5 conditions listed, and then would also have you believe that the 5th condition listed, which was Annnoyance, is actually even a real condition at all. To clarify... It is not. This next part is directed to the Author himself. Bruh ... if you want to write a cool sounding review for a nice strain... by all means... knock yourself out. but please... for the love of all things Holy ... do not let your lust for attention sway you into being untruthful about it. And finally... to the editors of LEAFLY... Please consider more intensive proofreading of consumer reviews, before publishing them publicly. anybody with basic reading comprehension skills, can obviously see the undertoned flaws in the review I mentioned. thank you, "A concerned reader".
