Peanut Butter and Jelly
11/17/2024
Remember, a lot of considerations go into evaluating a stain, and here are mine: this was a cart; daily user x six years; combat veteran with moderate PTSD, so I’m always anxious; stable late onset traumatic BPD, and several arthritic bones and impinged joints. I still run two miles every day, so I’m not in bad shape.
I don’t usually care about the taste, and I don’t know if this strain is engineered to be “tasty,” but the cart vape does take like peanut-butter and jelly, albeit you may need to use your imagination a little. There’s certainly a nutty flavor and it’s pretty close to Peanut-butter Breath, and the jelly comes off like a stale strawberry, maybe. Meh.
The high is your typical onset— just a few minutes. I was watching football and my anxiety was a little high. I decided on this strain vs. a sativa hybrid I use during the day to get me motivated. While my anxiety didn’t abate right away, my brain did stop focusing on the game… which eventually led to my anxiety to go away after the game was over and my team won. Meh on anxiety control.
I will say that the buzz lasts a while. And be careful because this is a one, maybe two hit strain. Any more and you’ll be asleep in two hours. If you microdose, or are like me and know how to be patient, you’ll be rewarded with one hit of it’s the first of the day.
The high is controlled and heady, not a body lock (unless you use too much). You’ll talk. You’ll forget about minor pain. Right now my lower back is happy, but my eyelids are a little heavy. It really is a cool, eutrophic front with a mellow and stable backside. A+
So to sum up: it tastes okay, but I don’t care about that. Like most cannabis PBJ may excite your anxiety— especially if you don’t dose small at first. Be smart and the ride will be fine. Finally, the impacts on mood were noticeable and positive. I felt “normal,” and even got back into the game when it was close. Afterwards I just sat back and thought good things, played with my dogs, flirted with my wife, and cooked dinner… a nice chicken parm with fettuccine and a salad… and boy was I hungry.
Enjoy!
