Cactus Cooler

1/27/2020
Today we’re reviewing Blue River Terps & Fully Melted CA's "Cactus Cooler" Torrone (24k x StrawNana) I picked this up on 12/31/2019 from the new Cookies shop Berner's On Haight. This batch of Cactus Cooler tested to an incredible 95.1% Total Cannabinoids, with 78% THC, and 4.5% Terpenes to boot. It was packaged up by Advesa Wellness on 11/07/2019 and contains a mind-blowing mixture of Blue River's THCA Snow, Jelly Diamonds, Sauce, and Flan to make the coveted Torrone. Right upon cracking the tiny jar, an incredibly pronounced and complex nose of creamy strawberries, sweet orange citrus, tangy tropical pineapple, floral vanilla, earthy passion fruit, and ripe guava completely fills the room and will have you racing for your rig. As soon as the taste hits, you'll instantly notice a tantalizing blend of creamy berries and tangy citrus, that lead way to freshly picked notes of ripe passion fruit, tropical guava, and sweet pineapple. A crisp but decadent backend of spiced vanilla bean perfectly rounds out this unique, fruit-forward flavor profile. The effects were incredibly powerful and immediately noticeable, with long-lasting feelings of uplifting cerebral euphoria, calming happiness, motivational creativity, and an enjoyably relaxing full body buzz. Cactus Cooler Torrone had my ECS firing on all cylinders, and provided complete body relaxation, with an ever-present but calm mind. The amazingly smooth dabbing experience, coupled with outstanding potency, craft cannabis inputs, and a perfectly preserved, complex terpene profile would have been enough. However, the discounted ticket really elevated this extract to the upper echelons of the scoring scale, and will certainly have me searching this solventless masterpiece out again!

Tang Eray

1/27/2020
Today we're reviewing The Lemonnade TangEray (Lemonnade x Cactus Cooler) I picked this up on 12/31/2019 from the new Cookies shop Berner's On Haight. This batch of TangEray tested at 22.92% THC and was packaged up on 08/21/2019. Right upon opening the suede-like yellow bag, a pleasantly invigorating and powerful nose of over-ripened oranges, tangy lime zest, sugared lemon citrus, and earthy crushed mint quickly awakens the senses. The flowers display beautifully differentiating green hues that act as a sort of camouflage to the vast array of amber-orange pistils. A dense trichome layer envelopes each bud, creating a nicely frosted look from any angle. Unfortunately, the positivity train slows down a bit here, as every joint burned almost entirely black ash all the way down. The multiple varieties of pungent citrus I was excited to taste were left sorely muted, and a very slight harshness remained at the back of the throat after smoking. The effects were immediate and enjoyable as a happily hazy, uplifting cerebral euphoria with light pressure around the temples set in. TangEray isn’t overwhelmingly energetic, but certainly enjoyably bright, with a lightly relaxing full body high and a mind buzzing tingle. The harsh way the flower smoked and the lack of flavor translation from the bag to the joint were my biggest issues with this particular batch of TangEray. However, I would still possibly give this flower another chance in the future due to some of the popular feedback I’ve seen from other trusted sources.
