Vanilla Kush

2/4/2014
The grower (my cousin) who gave me a couple of ounces of Vanilla Kush didn't take it all the way to completion and he didn't flush the plants and he dried the buds a bit too fast so it wasn't the best smoke I've ever had by far. I think a lot depends on the grower's skills as to how potent and flavorful this strain is. The buds were light and fluffy and I prefer dense nugs but I have three of the Vanilla Kush about two weeks from putting into flower so if I can get these plants to live up to their potential I'll write another review in about 3 months. The strain is bushy as all get out and looks to be ideal for scrogging.

Today I went to the Jackson Compassionate care club for the third time since late October and they still didn't let me into the show room even with a Michigan Hard Card and valid State ID. The first time I went their refusal was legit since I hadn't received my card yet. I had all my paperwork from the clinic and 28 days had gone by but I had paid for my card with a money order so I had no proof that the State had approved me. OK...they're playing by the rules, I can live with that, and the dude behind the front desk was cool about it and apologetic. On my second visit with my Hard Card in hand the dude behind the desk put me into their system as a member and after about 10 minutes of waiting to get into the showroom someone came out and said there was a "domestic problem" and that they had called the police and anyone who didn't want to be there might want to leave before the cops arrived. I waited another 10-15 minutes (why not, I was legal and Jackson, MI just legalized possession of less than an OZ on private property) but there were 5 or six patients ahead of me and I had things to do so I left. Today was my final visit to the Jackson Compassionate Care Club. I went in again with Card and ID and met resistance at the front desk. The woman manning that post had no record of me as a member and was actually a little shitty. She wanted to know the name of my doctor and I didn't remember. My MMM doctor was some old hippy MD in a Grateful Dead T Shirt at a monthly clinic in Quincy, MI not my regular physician. You see...the JCCC is in the building next to their own MMM doctor and I was told by the first dude that members had to be approved by the doctor in the next building on a yearly basis. Can we spell "collusion"? Finally I have to add that the "atmosphere" leaves a lot to be desired. Today was the first day of the month (check day), the place is not in the best part of town, and the clientèle were not the sort of folks I'd care to share a phatty with. Forget the Jackson Compassionate Care Club and go to Ann Arbor instead.
