Jack Herer JOOS Disposable Pen 0.3g

1/22/2021
To quote Judge Smails, "Top notch!" As a fan of uplifting, daytime strains, I can say without hesitation that this is my all-time favorite. Just got this from Sunnyside in Danville, IL and did my usual single 2-3 second pull prior to writing a review. 30 minutes later, I'm quite high but clear-headed and ideas are flowing comfortably. No raciness at all - just positive, mellow energy and the feeling that I could successfully tackle just about any task. Mostly a head high but there is a touch of body high along with some (ankle) pain relief. I've had Jack Herer in flower form before but, as I recall, the high was a bit more relaxing and less stimulating than I had expected. Anyway, I'm way impressed with this JOOS disposable pen. I'menjoying the kind of "ideal" high you might expect from Jack Herer after reading the Leafly strain description and reviews. Nature's Grace and Wellness nailed it with this crop and phenotype. The pen is also rechargeable (!). I like to rotate through my cartridge and disposable inventory so I might not always burn through any one disposable before its battery expires. So rechargeability is for me a welcome bonus. I'll no doubt be hitting this pen more often, as it's my new favorite. Mayhap I won't need to recharge it anyway (-;

Clementine

1/15/2021
Ah, Clementine - I am thine. I'm vaping this from a Rythm disposable pen. I'm new to this strain so got the 300 mg disposable to keep the initial investment a bit lower for my first trial. FYI, before I drone on about the experience, I'm heading back to the dispensary to get at least one more pen after I'm cool to drive again. I'm a fan of m' brand new darling. I stick primarily with the more energetic sativa strains, when I can. Clementine didn't disappoint, there. Rather than venture into a wake and bake on my trial run, I took one generous pen-pull just as work was ending for the day (the joys of remote work!). It crept up on me nicely and I felt focused, buzzed, motivated, and happily graced with perma-grin. No couch-lock or loss of energy whatsoever. It didn't amp me up or increase anxiety at all. I just felt like partying but it in no way scattered my thoughts. I went out to grab the mail as the high was still climbing and met my neighbor by the street. We chewed the fat for about 10 minutes and I didn't feel insecure or worried that I was running off at the mouth. My neighbor's assessment of our conversation may vary of course but, point being, I wasn't too stoned to carry on a coherent conversation and I felt comfortably social - more so than I usually do. As I usually do before I write a Leafly review, I take only one (generous) hit. It's about the only way I can add some consistency as a basis of comparison for the different strains or products I review. I only mention that to say that, from my experience, most sativas or sativa hybrids will become more indica-like the more you ingest. I haven't hit Clementine hard yet but, based on what I've experienced with just one good pull, I'm confident that I can, if desired, get stoned to the bajeezus belt. I don't partake daily, though, so it might be different for those with a high tolerance. I enjoy cannabis primarily as a recreational user. I've had rheumatoid arthritis most of my adult life and, even with the single pull of Clementine, I did experience at least some ankle pain relief while walking. Might be more relief with a heavier dose. All in all, I've found a very happy place with Clementine. For me, she's a more cozy spin on Super Lemon Haze (which I dearly love), with less trippy-ness and a bit less drive. I highly recommend giving Clementine a whirl (think old-school square dance). If you ease into it, I'm confident you'll have no regrets. Or regerts.

XJ-13

7/13/2020
Vaped from a Verano Reserve 500 mg cartridge. For this review, I did a light-intensity pull for 2-3 seconds, held it for 1 second, then exhaled. I mention these inhalation specifics for folks who are used to toking with a joint, pipe, or bong. Pulling on a cart/vape pen the same way you do from a pipe or bong can result in getting *way* too high to enjoy! My cousin, an occasional consumer, learned this the hard way when he disregarded my advice and pulled on this XJ-13 cart with too much gusto. 30 minutes after his uncomfortable "peak" (accompanied by profuse sweating and aggravated paranoia), he mellowed out enough to enjoy it but that 30 minutes was a rough ride for him. Not the product's fault - his technique and lack of caution was the problem. That aside, my experience with this XJ-13 cart has been very pleasant. It's motivating without jitters but is, at the same time, very relaxing without couch-lock. I felt an almost trippy burst of creativity that led to refactoring sections of some songs I've had in the pipe. I have arthritis in my ankles and taking a walk was more pleasant, given some moderate ankle pain relief. My senses were heightened and stimulated and it left me feeling very happy and positive. The taste was initially very peppery and the vapor smell had loud hints of pepper and apples. You could feel the "pepper" a bit when the vapor hit your lungs but it wasn't enough to induce a cough. Overall, this is a potent head high with a moderate body buzz. As long as you respect the THC level and moderate your pulls accordingly, those who like traditional sativa effects will likely enjoy XJ-13.

Cannalope Haze

I'm very impressed with this Verano Essence 500 mg cart. The vapor is very easy on the lungs and, though I wasn't expecting any real taste or flavor, there was a pronounced melon/citrus scent and melon flavor. This is not a flavored product so the scent and flavor are only the result of terpene content. I partook initially with a 2-3 second pull, followed by another 2 second draw 15 minutes later. The high is very cerebral while still providing a warm, relaxing body buzz and minor pain relief. I felt a perma-grin settle on my face and some manageable giggliness set in. Even with those desirable effects, I was still able to think and articulate clearly. I felt energetic without any jitters or anxiousness. No significant munchies and only minor eye dryness resulted. I'm writing this review the morning after and, while I still feel some good effects (e.g., pain relief), I feel calm and focused with no hangover of any kind. My day job is very technical and logic-intensive so I'm used to being very much "in my head." This CAH allows me to get outside of that without getting in its way. My wife - not the cannabis fan that I am - so enjoyed the effect she saw on me that she decided she'd give it a try (a single 2-3 second pull). At least for us, it enhanced the sensory effects of the physical togetherness that followed. Pretty much any strain does that for me but it was a *very* pleasant surprise for her. The awesome body high wasn't so intense that it got in the way, for either of us. For my wife's part, as regards CAH, she's gone from "meh" to "yeah!" This cartridge provides a very fun and functional high. I haven't yet experienced the result of heavier indulgence but would expect even more of a body high - we'll see!

G6 Essence Cartridge (500mg)

5/22/2020
I'm a sativa fan and got this from the local dispensary only because they were out of my go-to Sour Diesel. Though G6 is shown as sativa-dominant, it acted on me more from the indica side of this hybrid. As others have described, it hit me initially behind the eyes and there was a brief rush in my chest and tingling in my arms and fingers. That leveled off after 1/2 an hour and left me happy but somewhat sedate and foggy. Certainly not couch-locked but neither was I energized - at all. I was in that state for the next 3-4 hours. I felt a bit hungover the next morning, even though I hit the G6 the previous afternoon around 2 PM. So, it hits you strong and lasts a long time. If you're in the market for the energized/focused/social effect associated with sativa-dominant strains, I'd recommend staying with Sour Diesel, Jack Herer, Lemon Haze, or other strains less heavy on Myrcene. This is my experience with G6 and, of course, your mileage may vary.
