I enjoyed the atmosphere and professional layout. The display cases were well maintained, brightly lit, clean and had a touch of elegance. However, while the staff were nice and polite, they were shockingly uninformed as to the nature of the medicine. When asked about terpene results (terpenes are the root of the medicine and one can decide which ailments to treat with what strains based on terpene results), neither budtender had ever heard of terpenes. They also stated the dispensary only performs the bare minimum state requirements when it comes to testing. I want my dispensary to go above and beyond, not do just enough to get by. The flowers were so-so. Many were very dry and some smelled funky. The flowers I tried were potent, but not top shelf quality and therefore slightly overpriced.

Interior looks more like a doctor’s office. Great atmosphere! Good selection for just having opened. Budtender knows his medicine and facts — very knowledgable. Nice to see a medical dispensary that’s taking this medicine seriously.

I gave Cherry City Compassion another shot, even though my first experience with their ACDC was poor because the grower clearly had no idea how to trim or cure flowers. I tried bubble gum (8% THC, 5% CBD), but once again the flower being sold was not properly cured so I have no idea what bubble gum was supposed to do. The bud was tinder dry with an extremely bitter taste; it actually caused a migraine and did nothing for my arthritis. I felt a little floaty, but it was uncomfortable. My trust in Cherry City Compassion is pretty much gone — for a dispensary that touts its expertise in the business and charges a premium for it, they don’t know much about cannabis.

My bud was not properly cured, so it’s hard to say what bubble gum is supposed to do. It was tinder dry, extremely bitter and left a bad aftertaste. The 5% CBDs did nothing for my arthritis and the THC content isn’t high enough at 8% to do much except feel a little floaty. Why dispensaries provide flowers no one should be selling because the grower doesn't know what they're doing is beyond me. Interesting that the strain actually smells a bit like bubble gum.

Besides a small parking lot and convoluted one-way streets in that part of town, this is an awesome dispensary. The people are fun, knowledgable and extremely helpful, providing one-on-one advice when needed. I've gone from a very inexperienced beginner who didn't know there was more than one strain of cannabis (thanks, government disinformation) to someone who almost knows what he's talking about.

I'm not a huge fan of the president, but his namesake on this bud doesn't diminish its potent effects on my pain. It's the best strain I've used for my rheumatism and migraines; it relieves the pain without making me high (which I don't like). I get a slow, mellow buzz that allows me to function for hours without discomfort. Medical cannabis is the best painkiller for my type of joint pain and Obama works every time, whereas traditional painkillers do not. For migraine headaches, this bud's for you.
