This was the first strain I ever bought when I got my medical card for my nerve damage and insomnia about two years ago. Whenever I see this strain at my local dispensary, in either flower or concentrate form I pick some up. In the two years since first trying MK Ultra I have never been anything but impressed, time and time again I am reminded why I love this strain. Flavour/Aroma: Earthy, spicy, reminiscent of juniper, it also has a classic skunky character. Body Effects: Instant relaxation throughout muscles, eyes becoming heavy after one bowl/dab but it takes me 2+ to be bedbound. MK Ultra almost immediately relieves the pain from the damaged nerve in my leg and soothes it for a long time. I always find my shoulder and forehead feels tingly too with this strain. Mental effects: Euphoria comes on strong, stress is diminished and everything feels comfy. Mind starts to wander, not quite "haze-like" more like a kind of distracted "staring off into space" sensation. Maybe the Mind Control/Hypnosis aspect of the name rings true! :) There's a weird simultaneous uplifted yet couch-locked effect that I haven't felt to this level in many other strains (G-13 being one of the few others).

Have been dabbing on some Moby Dick shatter from Heavenly Daze here in Vancouver, BC. I predominantly smoke Indicas but picked this up because of the name, wanting something uplifting and because of how stable and clear gold the shatter is. Beautiful strain, and I might have to say one of my new all-time favourites regardless of indica or sativa. Notes of sweet lemon and orange creamsicle with a nice hint of eucalyptus or peppermint that actually opens up my sinuses. Extremely flavourful even at high temp. The high comes on as a euphoric and uplifted headspace which blooms into a warm, almost sun-drenched sense of relaxation over the body. Very helpful after a depressing and exhausting day, offers decent pain relief as well! Will definitely be seeking more of this strain out, would also contemplate growing when it's legal here.

While I originally preferred the location on west 4th, the Granville Cannaclinic has recently become my favourite stop. amazing service, always a great selection, easy to get to. Can't stress enough how great the staff are. Last time I went in the woman that helped me taught me the basics of hash and then we had a long philosophical conversation that was the highlight of my day. As much as I love the Cannaclinic on Granville, the 4th ave location is one of nicest, comfiest and most helpful clinics I've ever been to. At times the selection is indica dominant (reason for only 4.5 stars in service) but when they get Sativas they get great strains. The mural on the roof is so rad as well!
