Wintergreen OG #44
2/16/2023
Coming at a surprisingly low 13% this particular specimen was tested in Portland and was on the daily deal shelf for 2$ a gram. Supplied by Dab Society. I don’t judge a book by its cover, and all the writing on a jar will never convince me of much. I go off my eye and nose and seeing that this was called ‘og’, I figured it might be worth a glance.
The structure was reminiscent of the big buds grown outdoors in southern Oregon and I could tell that the cultivation was full sun and as close to organic as possible. I knew it was worth the risk so I took one gram home and after one little slide bowl chillum pinch of the herb, I share my thoughts with Leafly.
Classic sativa tends to make me ramble and share thoughts and this is no different. A minty, gassy and citrusy flavored pull from the chillum produces thick heavy smoke that warms the chest and fills the head. Dense, calyx heavy buds produce a lot of good flower once broken down, with the overly large water leaves removed. The color is darker in the olive drab color range and reminds me of a Tahoe OG I just got from Washington. Pure sativa action in the mind and behind the brow remind me of my love affair with San Fernando Valley OG, another one of the elite of my choice OG list. If I could give this a 5. I would rate it higher especially if it were grown a bit more meticulously. A lovely OG for and OG snob, and a surprising bargain!
