Purple Punch

11/30/2018
Bright green, inviting, and smelling faintly sweet and earthy like a hayride through the morning dew, Purple Punch is some gorgeous and fluffy bud. The strength of this strain can really be seen in the orange hairs and attractive lime coloring, a sure sign of potency. The taste glides and dances on the tongue with a fruity influence; the consummation of the sweet and earthy aromas. As far as the effects I’ve been very relaxed and calm and accompanied with some music blends into a very positive and lovely mindset. This is an Indica but admittedly I’m not completely glued to the couch. In fact, I’m willing to go for a stroll. I decided to change it up and hit this strain through my bong instead of my normally prepared pre-rolls so I’m being very conservative with the bud packed in a bowl instead. Had I prepared PP in a preroll, it could have unleashed the onslaught of sleep vibes, but I’m in a good space. Im making a prediction now that Purple Punch will be a favorite among stoners with it’s delicious taste and chill effects, and for someone looking for a stress relief, Purple Punch knocks it out cold.

Blackwater

10/4/2018
Just opening the pop top to reveal Blackwater OG’s round, pine green, fluffy little buds excited me, and should excite you too. I’ve been fighting a cold all week and even my clogged nose could smell the earthy/berry blend wafting up through the holes of my grinder, even carried a bit of a woodsy scent for good measure. Blackwater’s sweet berry flavor intensifies in the first drags and you don’t need much from this strain to start feeling the effects quick, with a light headiness and a cozy cerebral sensation. Half a joint down and my heavy eyes at the beginning of my smoke session have become exceedingly sleepy and weighted, like I had applied some concrete eyeliner. This is an Indica, and very dense heavy Indica, but I chose to do my smoke session in the morning because I wanted to set a mellow tone to the day. I realized I needed to stop halfway through my joint because if I had gone any further I would have surrendered to a midmorning nap. I decided I was still going to try and be productive on this and see how it goes. Result: I busied myself for the last three hours and while the experience was great for working and escaping into my head, it’s not the best for conversation. Now, had this been near bedtime? I would’ve been floating down the Blackwater river to Sleepsville. Blackwater OG is calming, tranquil and great for an insomniac boost.

Hindu Skunk

9/30/2018
Namaste! I’ve always been drawn to the Hindu way of life, particularly the enlightenment, self realization, yoga, and Om-ness of it all. So Hindu Skunk had me excited to go on my spiritual journey via a sampling of gorgeous nugs. The buds are as pretty and green as the lush jungles of India, and have an odor that’s very light but noticeable, so don’t think this will stink up your house, even with Skunk in the name. In fact, it has a very distinct clean smell but I can’t honestly put my finger on what to compare it to. Just as I expected - and hoped for - the effects are very tranquil and relaxed, putting me in that divine state of mind. Vishnu blessed me with a peaceful, stress-free experience that would be perfect for someone struggling with their nerves or social anxiety, or merely looking for a mental realignment. If I wanted to this would have sent me to bed for a nap, but it was the late afternoon and I didn’t want to throw off my sleep schedule, so I was able to slowly busy myself with chores and a bit of creativity, but not too much. I felt compelled to just be busy with something, I wanted to feel accomplished. I only wish my body would’ve been as enthusiastic about it as my mind because this strain transformed me into a sacred - but incredibly lethargic - cow that had just feasted on a couple of acres of grass and a silo of corn on the side. All in all, Hindu Skunk is the gateway to relaxation, peacefulness, and salvation that will transform you too.

Harlequin

9/10/2018
I have back problems. It’s hereditary, happens at the worst times, and is from a lot of driving and not enough stretching. The last time I had this issue in my lower back and sciatica I had just gotten some Mr. Frosty and it worked wonders for me, eating up the pain like it was dessert. So I was excited to see what Harlequin could do for me this time around. I had a nice little bud to test and it ground up to nice little flakes of green, like seasoning. While this IS a CBD strain, I can’t help but note that about halfway through the joint I did have a teeny tiny psychoactive reaction. But NOTHING like a straight THC dominant strain; this was more like tickling behind my eyes, and the beginnings of a nap coming on. Nonetheless, I felt very relaxed and at peace, and while the lower back pain didn’t completely go away at first, it did subside considerably. But the real test came when I got in my car to drive, where the pain had been more intense and much more noticeable. Harlequin did the trick and then some because about an hour into driving the pain left completely FOR THE FIRST TIME IN WEEKS and I had a pleasant evening delivering behind the wheel. The relief was incredible. Having a quality CBD strain lying around for joint pain, back pain, headaches, and muscle strains is highly recommended, and Harlequin is up there with the best.

Cinderella 99

9/10/2018
Cinderella 99 is one of those strains that you can’t really find anything wrong with. It grinds nice and burns slow. After just a couple of hits I’m feeling high, relaxed, and euphoric, along with a cerebral levitation act that doesn’t slow brain activity, if anything it speeds it up. Aesthetically, these little nuggets look like grumpy old men with wild green and orange hairs, which could be my only complaint if they weren’t so darned cute. Still, there’s a charm to this bud, character. For those needing to tighten their belts, Cindy 99 is a very budget friendly strain: my one joint lasted me a while, especially being my first smoke of the day. Therefore, with all these factors added in - a strong, long lasting, strain that intensifies your mood for the better - this may not be the best start for the lightweight, unless you’re feeling up to it. Cindy does the Time Warp with you though, as the clock did some funny tricks on me, slowing for what felt like 35 minutes down to ten, and at some point a separate 45 minutes flew by in a flash. I could’ve gone for a walk or chilled at home, a true hybrid. My high lasted over an hour, and every trip was like the first time in intensity and flavor. Turn your pumpkin mood into a chariot with Cinderella 99, perfect for depression, anxiety and stress.

Chemdawg

8/18/2018
A greenhouse grown Indica dominate strain, Chemdawg has a light green, almost faded leafy color that is pronounced by the orange hairs surrounding the inner workings of this bud and looking like the crevices of an emerald brain. The flowers are dry and not sticky at all so grinding them are a cinch. In my gram I had a rather sizable nug, a medium sized one, and then a tiny one. I took the tiny and the medium size flowers (saving the biggin’ for later) and after making my joint was feeling the effects almost immediately. I coughed a couple times, feeling a bit of scratchiness on my throat, but I smoked through my J rather quickly and felt the effects hit me just as fast. I just zoned out for 20 minutes watching Facebook videos of the people who voiced all of my favorite cartoons growing up. This flower is like a time warp. I’m experiencing major couch lock, and just as I’m writing this sends my stomach is starting to growl. And Holy Moses, now I’m really feeling the effects. It’s been exactly 15 minutes since I finished my joint and I’m feeling very relaxed, easy-going, a little bit more couch locked than expected or wanted, and am very happy that I saved my big nugget for later on. This is a fantastic strain after a very hard day, whether that be physically or emotionally. I want to escape into a movie, or play a game on my phone, or even get in a quick snooze. Chemdawg really surprised me with how good it is for a variety of reasons. This is fantastic for winding down the day, killing stress and anxiety, maintaining an appetite, insomnia, and building up a good mood overall. www.kinddeliveries.org

Superglue

8/18/2018
Of all of the strains I reviewed recently, it came as no surprise to me that Superglue would be the stinkiest of the bunch. Stinky in a good way, of course. When I opened up my sample an earthy, and very skunky aroma wafted out. In varying shades of green, the soft, squeezable, and lightly sticky texture, and the orange hairs thrown in for good measure on the bud all built my excitement to try this new strain. Too, I knew I was going to be thoroughly stoned with ‘glue’ in the name, which only fueled my enthusiasm further. When lit, that skunky smell transferred into a sweet and very tasty flavor on the pallet. After one good hit I’m feeling the effects almost immediately: stoney, launching into the clouds, and feeling fantastic. I’m up and certainly not couch locked or sleepy, and my imagination is active and alive. The sensation lasted a while as well, almost two hours, feeling creative, happy, and energetic. This strain is just awesome for depression and stress, is strong and long lasting, and burns slow. Note from Dr. T-roy, any strain with Glue in the name is always going to be a winner, anything with Super is generally outstanding. Get you some!

Amnesia

8/18/2018
When I first heard that we had a strain called Amnesia, I would’ve bet dollars to donuts that it was an Indica. Finding out that it’s a Sativa, though, my curiosity multiplied ten fold as to what the effects would be. I ground up these little fluff balls and ripped through my joint feeling up and ready to take a walk with energy and lightness, along with the standard tingling behind the eyes. As I took my walk, I decided to send off an art package to my nephew. Well, in my walk, I found out why they call it Amnesia. I showed up to the local Postal Annex and realized I had forgotten a few things to send. So while this strain is a sativa, it’s a stupid sativa. Not recommended for doing anything but basic motor functions without a lot of needed thinking. Going for a walk, watching an uncomplicated movie, hitting the gym, de-stressing. All of these would be perfect for Amnesia, because this is not a cerebral high, though, it is euphoric. Colors bounced off the trees and cars, and the sun was extra bright, but I suppose that’s why ignorance is bliss. Amnesia is fantastic for clearing your mind, halting overthinking, and illuminating stress and worry. www.kinddeliveries.org
