I have to say that the online ordering in my experience was super smooth. After watching a Canna Cribs episode on Shango I did a Leafly search and saw some Tropical Punch at Currleaf and ordered up. There wasn’t a line when I arrived after getting my notification my order was ready. Pulled up my card (medical) and paid for my 1/8. That’s all I wanted.
It took all of 15 minutes round trip from my house (9 miles away).
The Leafly ordering option was fast and convenient with no waiting at the time I went.
Just had to say something because back in the day it was never convenient. Quite a change.
A side note: I have mostly bought bottom tier “deal” strains that I like. On occasion, mid tier. Hard core Sativa guy weary of Indica’s putting me to sleep. Like I said, I saw a YT vid on Shango. Quality grow. Jumped on Leafly. It’s very handy to be able to shop for the best price of the strain you are looking for. Leafly’s “search nearby” button is my favorite thing about the app. Anyway, I thought Tropical Punch was a Sativa Hybrid when I ordered and didn’t notice til I got home. Was bummed..
Then I tried it. Holy Cow.. I think of Afagani when I think of Indica. Shango’s Tropical Punch is nothing like a drag. Tension in my shoulder faded but I was focused, almost motivated. Calmed me yet lifted me. I like creative strains but I can go really deep and get distracted on something interesting. Others make me feel wired without calm. This strain makes me want to explore Indicas. Or to be more specific, Shango Indicas.
Happy Accidents..

The smell! I love the smell. I had a strain called Incredible Hulk several years ago and it had almost the same order. I want to identify the name is the sent. Anyone?
As as far as the effect I can confirm that this strain (for me) gives me an energy lift. I was smoking WiFi (a white widow cross) and Mother's Helper. WiFi (for me) was kinda of middle of the road, meaning it wasn't that much of a shift for me. Like, I didn't notice any effects other then a typical high. Mother Milk felt more of an indica dominate type and I am not a fan of most indica strain because I prefer and uplifted, energetic vibe and Mothers's Milk wasn't it. Side note: Mother's Helper was one of my favorites when it was around.
Rocky Dennis is, at the moment, is my go to strain. If you have a chance to get it deli style stick you face in the top of the jar and take a big ass wiff!
The reason I mentioned the two strains above in this RD review is because I went into take advantage of a BOGO for RD and the other strain in the price tire was out so it was suggested to get WiFi & Mothers Milk. RD went down in price so I went back in and got an 1/8 of RD and when I got home, I realized how much better it was for me then the other 2 more expensive strains! So remember folks, a higher price doesn't always mean a better high!
It was late evening when I packed a bowl of RD. I had been smoking WiFi & MM for almost a week and I noticed that I was feeling tired and honestly a little sad. 15 minutes after RD, I felt happy and energetic. So much so that I got inspired to start the painting project for my son's room. Not a huge project but I was dreading it. RD helped me connect with why I love Cannabis. Everyone is different and all strains are different so try, try, try, until you find what works for you.
I highly recommend Rocky Dennis for those that are looking for the uplifted and energetic vibe!
Glad Max

I am a super fan of Mother's Helper. I kinda went long on the strain and switched to Moby Dick which is good but it's not Mother's Helper. Anyway, I didn't think there could be another strain that could trump Mother's helper.
Glad Max is that strain.
Glad Max is almost a back-cross since Chocolope is crossed with Northern Light's #5 to make MH and Glad Max is Mother's Helper crossed with Chocolope again! I am not a fan of Chocolope on it's own but I guess I like it when crossed like this. Glad Max raises the bar for me when it comes to my head high. I don't feel high, I fill lifted and clear headed and more focused then Moby Dick which had an odd stony quality that would come on after about an hour I found myself getting easily distracted.
Mother's Helper makes me want to get up and do something which I really like about the strain. Glad Max is a bit more mellow and relaxed energy. It elevates my head high and cuts through any Spacyness.. Also good for muscle issues and anxiety.
You can definetly a difference in the bud structure. Mother's Helper has more popcorn like bud consistency and is more a muted green. Glad Max is a darker richer green with what looks like a 50 - 50 mix of hairs to bud. The bud looks kind of gritty like sandpaper Don't get if you are wanting to sleep or couch lock.
I have smoked and vaped. Smoked feels like a warmer more rounded effect where as the vape is loftier and pin pointed for me.
Hope you find this useful.

Harvest HOC of Phoenix – Alhambra (Med/Rec)

Urban Greenhouse in downtown phoenix feels more like shopping in Los Angeles. Nice to see that there is a security guard standing out front. Smaller front office and bud tender room but the atmosphere is very laid back and the meds are good. One that to note about Urban Greenhouse is they are local growers! I believe they do carry other strains not farmed by them directly too. Be sure to check the menu. Also, another unique thing Urban Greenhouse offers is Caviar! It's a special process where they coat a particular strain in oil and then dust it with keif. I tried some the other and it is potent for sure so go easy if you are new to this. If there was one thing to mention that isn't so good is getting into the parking lot. It's kind of one way only thing so be sure to be on the North side of the street headed West before you get there for best entry!
Mothers Helper

Mother's Helper is one of my top 3 strains. My personal preference is a Sativa dominate Hybrid that brings focus, a clear head and uplifts my energy level. Mother's Helper totally works for me to aide with anxiety, muscle tension, fatigue, lower back pain. It has a calming effect that makes me want to get up and do something. Not a fan of couch surfing unless I'm done for the day and ready to crash. I lean more toward Kush strains for that. THC levels on the Monarch website are listed at 17-22% for MH.
Not the greatest at picking out flavors and smells but Mother's Helper, once I pinched it, smelled very sweet and fruity. I thought Blueberry and Peach. Taste is good. Got a little of the sweetness when I hit it but I am sure a good vape would help bring out the flavor. I would say it is more of a head "high". Like energy is collecting there for some reason. Hitting it hard, like a couple bowls would knock me out. I am a small bowl kinda dude and usually use a one hitter for general use. Haven't vaped any yet so.. This is a great strain to use during the day or if you need a 4th Quarter Push at night, Mother's Helper would be what I would choose in that event.
One thing I noticed for me is, Mother's Helper is kind of like a wave ride. The reason I say that is because the high feeling drifts down to a point where you think you need to take another hit but then all of a sudden, you are feeling it again. So try savoring it initially. MH comes on strong but in a good way. I don't like feeling stoned and I don't feel out if it even if I take that extra drag. So if you like a Hybrid that is gets you up off the couch, then I would highly recommend the aptly named Mother's Helper as she definitely takes care of me. 5 stars from budsimple.com.
The Mint Cannabis - Scottsdale

I had my 1st experience at Monarch today and my impression was great. The office matched vibe on the website. Super friendly and clean and modern with good color. My personal preference is a more boutique vibe vs a more clinical Dr. Office style. Monarch fit the bill. The sales room was even cooler. Well laid out and very organized, bright with a friendly staff. My sales guy had good knowledge and suggested Durban Poison after I told him what types of strains worked for me. Review coming soon! Monarch was totally up my alley with not only they visual style but the meds on display were plenty. I'd say close to 20 strains of quality flower. Speaking of displays, I also really liked their (2) large flatscreen menus. I am not really into edibles or dabbing so I can't talk about what they offered there for these products. Prices are really what drew me here. I have a dispensary 2 minutes from my house but all grams are $20+. Monarch had over half the menu @ $17 a gram including one of my favorite strains Mother's Helper! One thing they did different then other dispensaries is offer 1st time patients a punch card that allows you to save 10% for the next 10 purchases. At first I was like, I'd rather get a free preroll but the punch card is a better deal over time. Directions.. The map told me to exit 90th (off 101) but it's better to exit Vi De Ventura, pass Pima, look to your right and Monarch is right behind the post office. I actually found it because they have done a great job of putting the Monarch name on the top of the building so it's easy to see. If I was to make a tiny critique I would say that the couches looked like they needed a lite cleaning. Must be because there are a lot of clients. Overall, I have become a fan because Monarch offers great prices for quality meds and have built a stylish place to shop in. Looking forward to my next visit!

Presidential Kush isn't my kind of strain but I wanted to write this review in hopes that someone who like the effects I don't like, might find this useful. Personally I like Sativa dominate strains that give me focus and energy. PK really mellowed me out. Made me want to just hang out and chill instead of getting my "stuff" done I'd rather lay down and take a nap. I think this strain (at least for me) would be a good night time smoke after putting in a good day. I did like the effects for night. For me it was airy and light. Made my head swim a little and lose focus of things a bit. Over all I think it should be called Mellow Yellow..

I picked up some 707 Headband because that is where I grew up in No Cal.. Anyway, I was very pleased with my purchase. I was very happy with this strain but was unhappy it sold out so quick! So be sure to get an 1/8.. This flower has a fairly crazy contrast between the almost orange rust hair and the deep green of the bud. My personal preference is a Sativa dominate hybrid and I can't remember what this was but I do know that it was valuable to me due to it's effects of fighting off my fatigue and kept me more focused which I am a huge fan of when I find the right strain! 707 Headband is on the top of my Top 3 Strains next to Mother's Helper and J1. I also got a Presidential Kush Pre Roll that I didn't really like. Good Strain but not for daytime use for me.
