Pineapple Chunk

9/11/2018
This review is for Blue Pineapple Chunk (Blue Dream x Pineapple Chunk). I'm leaving the review here since that particular strain doesn't have it's own leafly page yet. This strain is the absolute shit. It looks beautiful, tastes great, isn't too harsh of a smoke, and it's one of the more relaxing sativa dominant strains that I've experienced in my 8 years of smoking. I find it to be a fairly focused high that's been perfect for getting chores done, accomplishing work projects from home, and just generally uplifting me in times when I lack motivation. Creativity is also boosted a bit. Some strains trigger my anxiety in different ways; this strain does not. It doesn't trigger paranoia either. It's helped calm me down from many anxious moments and bad days. It also helps stimulate my appetite pretty well and helps keep nausea at bay, which is huge given I wake up nauseous frequently. I don't notice as many body aches and muscle spasms as normal after I smoke this, either. This is my new go to strain and I hope I never tire of it.

Peaches and Cream

6/26/2018
This strain is as great as it’s been hyped up to be, in my opinion. The bud I got is covered in trichomes and weighed 2.5 grams. It smells amazing and the smoke was smooth as hell, I hardly coughed at all. Huge selling point for me since I have a rough time smoking flower because of how harsh it is on my throat. Peaches and cream is the perfect name for it too, because you just feel so... peaches and cream. My best friend and I felt very peaceful after smoking this, and we had interesting conversations. 12/10, I want to go back and buy an oz of this stuff.

Cherry Kush

6/25/2018
One of my favorite kushes so far. The buds I got were HUGE, beautiful, and stanky danky. I could feel my shoulders and body totally relax upon the first couple hits from this, which is rare for me and my high tolerance. It didn’t make me paranoid either, and it helped me sleep. I definitely recommend this strain to anyone with body pain or tension.

Headband

6/24/2018
I remember liking this strain back in the day, and I just recently tried it again. I tried Yerba Buena’s (Oregon) flower version of it and enjoyed it quite a bit. Upon the first few hits I felt much more awake and alert, but not too much like a straight sativa, if that makes sense. It was relaxing as well, and I was able to go to sleep an hour or so later. The buds were gigantic and beautiful too. I look forward to smoking more of it soon.

Monkey Bread #1

5/31/2018
I purchased some of this strain from a dispensary in Florence, OR called The Arboretum. I was drawn to this particular strain because 1) it’s new 2) it had big, beautiful buds in varying shades of green and 3) it’s parents are Grease Monkey and forum cut GSC, a mix I just couldn’t pass up. I enjoyed smoking this flower. It got me pretty stoney from only one bowl out of a bong (which is difficult given my high tolerance from mostly doing dabs). I felt relaxed, a bit giggly, and a bit hungry. The only downside is that the flower doesn’t have a very strong scent. It mostly smelled faintly of hay. Definitely not enough to deter me from trying it again though!

Durban Poison

4/11/2018
Finally got my hands on some Durban Poison after yearning for it for years. So far, it's one of the best sativas I've ever had, with a slight Diesel taste to it. I kept waiting for that heavy headed, stoned feeling to come but this DP was SO clear headed. I felt like I could really focus on things, which is sometimes hard when I'm high. It didn't make me feel anxious either which was nice because sativas don't always settle well with me. Also, my whole body felt relaxed and pain free.

Gorilla Cookies

2/28/2018
my eyes almost popped out of my skull when I saw how many trichomes were on the buds of Gorilla Cookies. without my glasses on, it looked like a nug covered in pretty sand. With glasses on, it looked frosty as hell and had the slightest, most subtle purple tinge to it. The smell wasn't too powerful, but it smoked well and definitely gets you stoney with only a bowl. It's fairly relaxing and good for winding down at night. Incorporating it into my nighttime yoga routine was pleasant.

Black Lime

2/26/2018
I was drawn to this strain because I'm a fan of one of its parents, northern lights. Much like its parent strain, BLSR helps to ease the anxiety and depression that I have due to PTSD. It relaxes my body but doesn't couch lock me, and I find myself thinking and speaking more creatively after smoking it. The buds were very frosty with trichomes and it was the strongest smelling weed I've purchased in awhile. It definitely didn't disappoint, especially for only $23 an 1/8th.

Northern Lights

2/12/2018
I recently tried this strain after almost 8 years of smoking regularly, and I have to say I'm sad I didn't try it sooner. Even though my cannabis tolerance is pretty high, this strain was still making me giggly and stoned as heck after one bowl. I was drawn to this strain because I'd heard it helps with PTSD and it's quickly become one of my go-to strains for PTSD.
