Durban Poison

Durban, for me is one of those strains that shows why choosing the right strain that personally fits your own biochemistry is important to discover. This one doesn't quite work for me. a strong cerebral feeling, all in the head, like sativas do, I just wasn't feelin it .other than knowing it can be strong, and for me makes it a cautious dose at best, as a wake and bake, I like Premium Jack and Sour D better. Its one of those that you just have to experiment with, like Red Congolese, or Lambs Bread, just because it was "Bob Marley's favourite" doesn't mean it will do anything for you. You have to find your own. Whatever the strain is, the MOST important factor is the quality of the grow. It has to be grown well by experts, a good top shelf harvest. Crappy flowers will produce crappy medicine.

Lemon Jack

A variation of Jack Herer, gives it a lemon twist, nicer tasting than the typical floor cleaner green tea menthol of straight JH, and I find the Lemon Jack is a bit more edgy energetic than JH. I could see Lemon Jack producing a bit of anxiety in larger doses unless you go out and run around with it.Its ok for wake and bake, and the come down isn't as strong as Sour D.For Jack Herer versions, I only need Premium Jack. One odd note, making tinctures with most Jack Herer versions have produced some of the most awful tasting tinctures Ive ever made. Only straight JH, Premium Jack, and Lemon Jack have tasted ok. Others I made, like Black Jack, Critical Jack, have been so rotten tasting in tincture I had to throw them away. JH pheno types are strange like that.

Dutch Treat

Dutch Treat is one of my favorites. just feels right to me. You can taste and feel some kind of similar Jack Herer genetics in it, taste is kinda mild menthol minty eucalyptus . Hybrid effects offer relaxation but not couch locky., for afternoon (or evening.) Feels to me a bit similar to Blue Dream but more relaxing.Nice mental balance with body relax. Come down feels mild. DT is now hard to find in California .I wish it was more readily available. If you like Jack Herer, try Dutch Treat for the evening.

Zelly’s Gift

Like what others are saying, this sativa dominant strain gives a cerebral uplift, mixed with a hazy high, a bit odd feeling combination of clear mind/hazy upliftment. Taste like you'd expect, light lemon jack floor clearer-ish. Good for afternoon relaxing. I made as a Tincture ,I think this strain could be a little anxiety producing in high dose,so try moderation first. The feeling is mostly in the head, a clear but hazy relaxation. I might prefer Dutch Treat and some others like Banana Kush.

Sour Diesel

When I became a newbie to MMJ, Sour Diesel became the first favorite that pleased me. Its true that everyone has particular strains that harmonize best with their own system. Its totally a matter of personal fit.and you just have to experiment and find the best strains for yourself. Sour Diesel ,considered a great 'wake and bake' strain, immediately sharpens the mental focus.better than coffee and a cigarette, Made as alcohol tincture, taste mild sweet earthy diesel ,interesting, but Not especially euphoric for me, its mostly a mind focus sharpener. perfect for mental work in the morning...But, the downside is the come down, a few hours later, the mental clarity turns into a hazy stoney sleepy zone that goes away after half hour or so. I find that 'come down' ,in the morning during work isn't what I want.and having to wait for it to pass before my mind kicks in again. So SD isn't perfect as a mental sharpener in that regard. Better is Premium Jack, bred to eliminate that hazy come down. SD fans should experiment with Premium Jack.
