This is one of my favourite strains...got this at my local dispensary for $60 a half O. I smoke this one in the day to stay productive and not feel tired or groggy during or after I vape it. It’s got a nice earthy taste that goes down smooth.
This is my ‘Get Sh*t Done’ bud.
Smoke a little with morning coffee and spend the rest of the day sweeping, gardening, cleaning, organizing, dusting, mopping.... it all becomes a beautifully sedate meditation.
Nice focus and relaxed energy without sticky thoughts. Excellent day time choice.
honey and mushrooms smell, easy on the draw. Onset of happy, carefree, Spicolli mindset is a slow and smooth time lagged arrival. This will bring relief to more seasoned smokers.
Like chongs of days past......no stems no seeds that you don't need, Acapulco Gold is bad a** weed! #happyhungryhorney

I should premise this with the fact that I normally smoke indica's, but wondered into the dispensary today to try something a little different. I was going between this and the Gorilla Glue. The nice young lady behind the counter lured me towards this strain with promises of a smooth creep to a plateau of security and euphoria. Okay, so maybe not in those words, but that's what I was feeling with what she was describing. At first taste, it's relatively smooth. No lasting bitterness on the tongue. She was right that this creeps, but if only it rose to a high that was easily maintained. I found myself sipping on the pipe about every five to ten minutes, otherwise I felt pretty ordinary. It really left me hankering for Obama Kush or something along those lines.
So top notch !!...i have a long history with this bud dating back to 1965.
It wont lay you out but thats what i enjoy,
I hadn’t tried AG before this morning ... I know it’s been around a longtime but better late than never, right?? This strain is amazing and it’s all true. Just vaped some concentrate. It does take you to a happy place. Am not sure how today will go but am off to a great start. Thanks to strains like this I have been able to come off my antidepressants!! I am a true believer.....A must have sativa!

I first smoked this strain in 1970. This was a time when Jimi Hendrix was new. Led Zeppelin and Crosby, Stills & Nash were "Thangs." It was time of turmoil and, for me, being a college student, hippie and…so forth.
I smoked dope from 1967 (high school in Iowa) until about 1977. Then I quit, mostly, except for a ceremonial toke or two once in a blue moon, until 2015.
As an Portland, Oregon resident I resumed buying pot as mostly a novelty in Vancouver, WA prior to it being fully legalized in Oregon. But, recently retired, I rediscovered the joy of cannabis and became familiar with the newest, best and most powerful strains.
But Acapulco Gold was the strain I smoked when I learned to play the guitar and do many other things I might not have imagined as an Iowa-grown boy. It is rare, now. At least in Portland. But I do buy it when I can and I very much love it.
It is a sativa strain through and through. For some reason I do not get the "paranoia" factor common in so many sativa strains, played a big part in what led me to stop using cannabis in the 70's.
I find Acapulco Gold to be the best strain for music listening. As a sativa, it may not promote a lot of long term attention span, so it is great for sitcom, but not so wonderful in my experience for, like, movies.
I no longer smoke; instead I vape. I have a couple of cartridges of A/G that I enjoy sharing when socializing. I think A/G and maybe Durban Poison are the best strains for parties.
