You better get your wheelchair now, because you will need it. Smoked this bud with a friend at his trailer park while a bunch of senior citizens walked by, and they knew that we had that good good lmao. Anyways, this bud WILL give you a couch lock high, so beware. The flowers that I got were SUPER dense, rock solid. Super frosty nugs, you could definitely tell that they were an Og. This high creeped in on me, slowly numbing my body, legs first. Definitely recommend everyone to try it out, especially if you're an Indica fan.
This one oddly gives me energy for an Indica. It helps me chillout and enjoy activities, like dancing in the grocery store, which is the only legal place a grown man is allowed to enjoy Taylor Swift, which is the real crime here.

Wonderful come on! A warm, tropical tidal wave of euphoria carries you off oh so gently in it's embrace. Everything's soft, supple...literally feel embraced by a blanket. Soothing fuzzies cascade over your body. EVERYTHING feels good physically. The flawless, uplifted, and encouraging high would likely make sex down right transcendent. Sound is easily the best I've ever heard (second maybe to Pre-98 Bubba Kush?). Music is so fucking rich and textured, hitting at ever level tactfully and emotionally. Oh my good, this is exactly what acid feels like. Visuals are incredibly delayed/augmented (in a beautifully investing way). Quite nearly hallucinating here... Haha, this is so fun! Mentally, TOTALLY GONE. Again, like acid, your head's in another place. Yet, there's a motivated energy that stays with you and keeps it uplifting. You will, unfortunately, get sleepy a little after halfway through. Not a negative crash, but a nap will sound SO GOOD. This is your go-to high for shitty days. It's the equivalent of a loved one wrapping a big, warm blanket around you, erasing all your worries, and making you feel so happy and optimistic for the future. The kush element means it kicks ass for movies and music. Only downside is it can knock you out before you want it to - but that's indicas for ya.
If you've read my past reviews, I try to be specific to the strain, where it's genetics came from and my experience using and growing them. This review is for SFV OG Kush and my lower than average rating isn't because I find bad samples of this strain, it's because this strain is very difficult to cultivate consistent good samples and is a very hard strain to grow for the more experienced grower that is willing to take a risk of failure. It's a 5 star strain to use but a 1 or 2 star strain to grow with success. If you are only interested in it's use than please skip down to USE or read it all if you want info on growing and why my overall rating is not 5 stars.
USE; This is an indica dominant strain in all categories. It's effects are not uplifting but they are also not the strongest either, which even though not my personal choice, I can see why it is so highly rated, especially for less experienced users. It's all subjective and one of the wonders of this plant. You could say this is a good all day indica and not just for later day use like most strong indicas. It's not the smelliest strain but I have seem a lot of inconsistency here that could be caused by the drying/curing process. The taste is also not strong with an earthy taste. This strain is unique in it's appearance as they are some of the densest nuggets I have ever seen. With the naked eye they appear to have little trichomes but under a microscope there are plenty and a good sample rates high in the three rating categories. The interior of the flowers are normally very light in color with hardly any green to them because I don't think much light penetrates them. I personally like that as I think it makes the smoke smoother from the lack of chlorophyll in a majority of the bud.
GROW: OUTDOORS; I obtained the seeds direct from Cali Connection, germinated 3 and picked the best pheno, which seemed pretty consistent except for plant size and yield. This review is specific to growing outdoors where it is near impossible to grow in any high humidity environment because the buds are extremely dense and seem to have no mold or mildew resistance in them at all. My experience is along the west coast around 35*N latitude in the area's considered "Ocean Grown"(the real meaning of OG) where humidity can get high in the fall from coastal fog and rain and in the Midwest around 42*N where the humidity is consistently high with rain and dropping temps. If this plant gets rained on in the second half of flowering for any length of time an it isn't dried out with immediate early to mid day sunshine for the rest of the day, it will mold and mildew and be ruined. Even covered in a greenhouse, you can get similar problems if the humidity is high and the temps are low. I have yet to attempt a indoor grow because it is in an area with high humidity year round, even in an inside grow room and the risk reward isn't enough for me to risk it, but everyone is willing to take different risks and the 5 star reviews and it's awards are not untrue, as I have seen some excellent samples of this strain, but I have also heard a lot of similar experiences to mine. One other thing that doesn't make this good for some growers, especially if quantity is an issue for you, is that it is and indica dominant grower with very short stout plants that yield high density but a lower volume. INDOORS; I've only grown the three original plants to maturity in smaller pots and a very low humidity environment because of the small size of the room. Have not attempted a full grow and mentioned the reasons why. Overall as a strain it is 5 star if you find a nice sample but as a strain to grow yourself, I would recommend many other stains that are just as good with far less risk of failure unless you live in a dry environment like a desert in southwest US or other similar areas of the world like Spain, Australia or in an indoor environment with very good humidity control that can keep it consistently low throughout the flowering cycle.
Holy amazing sleep, Batman! SLEEPIES!! This knocked my ass OUT - I haven't slept in 2 days and this let me sleep for 7 hours straight, didn't even move. Super important different between this 'Kush' and regular OG.... Smelled like pine, a bit pungent, woody, lemon/citrus, and a slight herbal scent with a little spicy kick. This OG Kush combination is an amazingly super light and smooth smoke! Packed 1/2 a bowl and it tasted like sweet flowers, pine, dankish, and herbal, like tearing open a packet of tea. Went straight to my head and my face was nuuuuumb. Helped my spine amazingly well 5/5, took my kidney stone pain down to 30%, felt cold spots in my back where it hurts, helped with my tendon pain 3/5, and a little bit of nerve pain 2/5 - noticeable enough. No munchies, I passed out - definitely a night time use, great for insomnia. Hits heavy, so I wouldn't use this as a beginner unless you have insomnia - this is your golden ticket!

IF YOU HAVEN'T SMOKED "SFV OG"...YOU MUST!!!! TRY THIS STRAIN.... SMOKE,KICKBACK WITH YOUR MAN/WOMAN,WATCH NETFLIX, AND FUCK!!! AND CALL IT A NIGHT.. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STRAIN!
Classic "Kush" flavor with a nice fuel undertone. Delicious smoke, but definitely a strain name that gets thrown around a lot. And by that I mean you see "SFV OG" on a lot of menus but when you see a good representation of this strain you can easily tell because it is quite a beautiful flower with a lime green color & reddish, orangish hairs on top of plump calyxes. And those are the times when u definitely wanna pick it up b/c it's one of those never get old classic type strains. PEACE
the SFV OG is a powerhouse of a strain and hands down one of the best LA OGs around, no question. when acquired straight from the grower- this is some of the finest cannabis around. the aroma is distinct and almost cologne-like, the flavor is full of earth tones with after tastes of the cologne smell. the high comes on quick and grabs the patient by the back of the skull, warming the entire body and providing a locked-in focus. everything about this specific OG is A+ in my book.
