As a Lyme sufferer, and advocate, I tend to seek out strains that have amazing looks, smells, and taste, but my major focus is how well the strain does it's job in relieving pain and anxiety. Church OG, a hybrid of God's Gift and OG Kush is a definite winner on my list. It packs a smooth taste that starts off as very Earthy, before releasing a slight spicy, flowery terpene profile. Upon exhaling, the smoke expands to leave a slight tingle throughout the respiratory areas. This is followed by an immediate lift of the mind, that soon settles into a very relaxed, Zen like experience. This strain is not too heavy, in the sense that you cannot function mentally, but definitely puts some weight on the body, as you enter a couch lock like euphoria, even if you're still active. Great strain for pain management, when you don't want to just sleep it away... and the overall feeling of wellness and contentment from the actual THC profile, make this a must have, for all sufferers of pain related issues

I've had this disease called POTS, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, since I was 13. It's a confusing thing that I don't want to get too much into that tends to affect teens. It causes shit tons of symptoms, but the ones important to this are nausea, vomiting, headaches, migraines, and general pain concentrated in my legs. It got so bad that I wasn't able to walk for a year and a half. I always thought that marijuana might be an effective treatment for my POTS, though I didn't know what it was at the time I didn't get diagnosed until I was 16, and my depression, but lived in rural Missouri so my chances were slim of getting it there. I knew one person who had access, but I was too scared to ask her because it was so taboo there. A friend of mine who now smokes there tells me that it runs about $50 a gram, so I'm kinda glad I didn't pick up smoking there. I moved to the Chicago suburbs, probably the worst place in American, a few years later. Weed was accessible there, but was still pretty taboo. I went to the mayo clinic for my disorder a few months after I moved there and attended a rehab program that taught me to walk again. They also told me that, for my health, I should avoid marijuana and other drugs. I spent two horrible years in Chicago where I was bullied, mostly when I couldn't walk because I couldn't walk, and then ignored by every person I came across. My dad got a job out in Colorado eventually. He was going to move there by himself and my mom brother and I were gonna stay in chiraq until our house sold. I convinced him to let me move out with him and I ended up moving to Denver. I, because I lived in Denver, discovered weed and how great it was. My dad caught me one day and the combination of his Jewish guilt, my Missouri anti weed guilt, and my ignorance of the plant made me doubt that smoking was a good thing to do and that I was addicted and all that stuff. I went on a tolerance break, which made me discover I wasn't as addicted as I thought, and I started researching the science behind marijuana and completely changed my mind. It helps a majority of my problems, all that I listed out in particular. Anyways, enough background, sorry if it was too much, here's what I have to say about this strain: My POTS has been acting up as of late. It's basically been in remission for that past 8 months or so, but it decided to randomly unleash itself a few days ago. It's made walking hard and I haven't been eating due to nausea. I'd been smoking this strain, silver pearl, which was nice but didn't help any of my medical problems. I picked up an 1/8th of this today. I smoked a bowl and my nausea vanished. The pain in my legs subsided significantly, and the pain in my back and arms, the pain had spread from just my legs to include those that morning, was abolished. It's a good strain that'd is recommend to any recreational or medical user. It had a pleasant high too. I've taken the hardest of hard medicines for all my symptoms, but nothing helps even half as much as a good indica, or any kind of weed really. Thank god for marijuana and let's hope for a speedy legalization.

An OG strain you won't regret picking up Picked up 5gs of private reserve Church OG for $45 from my go to dispensary. Great deal considering an ounce of this stuff went for $270. The overwhelming smell of this strain penetrated through the plastic dispensary container and bag it was contained in. As soon as I popped the jar I was immediately impressed with the smell and "bag appeal" of Church OG. The buds were not too big, as the largest few were about a gram more or less. But the purple and dark green buds were chunky, super sticky trichome covered with fierce orange hairs. This strain doesn't feel quite as dense as other OGs on the finger break up. I personally felt the effects of this strain 50/50 sativa indica. There definitely is a strong relaxing element to the high but also a creative cerebral stimulation that will probably have you in a few giggling fits. This strain puts you in euphoric, anxiety free mood. One can use this strain for sleep, however there are more pronounced 'couchlock' effect strains out there. Medical patients can use this dank bud for anxiety, appetite, depression, insomnia, etc. Above all the high of Church OG makes this an extremely excellent choice for any experienced smokers regardless of strain preference. The parents of this strain are two legends. OG Kush x GDP.

This is the first and only (so far) indica I’ve been able to thoroughly enjoy. Mentally, it is lightly relaxing and uplifting. Physically I find it very relaxing and opening, without any heaviness or lethargy. Kind of like a very mild muscle relaxer. Gives me the kind of high that feels almost like not being “high” at all—it peeled the stress and anxiety away and just left me feeling really good. An overall light and uplifting smoke good for daytime, social, or creative activities. Great anti-anxiety effects for me personally. Strong munchies though, like, real strong. (I am a super THC light weight and blend all my smokes with non-psychoactive herbs to dilute potency and control dosage.)

Just like church, it makes me want to sleep. Oh so appropriately named. It's great for making you comatose, if that's your aim, than perfect.
