Took me about 3 to 4 joint hits to feel it, it creeps up nice & slow coughing accelerates the process after about 30 minutes i am ready to hit the sheets, it relieves my insomnia like no other.. even better than prescribed Ambien !! Highly recommended A++

This is a daytime Indica for me. I have to take a lot of puffs of my vape pen because I have a high tolerance but it's worth it. It relieves my back and neck pain and decreases my anxiety greatly, it is so relaxing yet it doesn't make me sleepy. Taste like berries. Excellent medication.
I’ve been struggling to find the perfect strain for a few years. I quit smoking when I was 21 and didn’t mess with weed for years. Now as an adult with a family and a job and responsibilities, I needed a nice strain to relax after a long day that didn’t make me anxious or paranoid, and helped me ease into a relaxed state to get me to sleep. Enter granddaddy purple. After work, Jiu Jitsu, and a shower, this is the stuff! Two puffs and my mind was OFF. Couch locked, relaxed, not overly stoned in my head so I can still function and speak with people but I just feel so relaxed and with no worries! About an hour later when I get into bed, sleep isn’t even a choice. Eyelids heavy and weary, sleep comes fast and easy. No racing thoughts in my head, just peace. This is my go to!!
It didn't make me sleepy🤔 right away, honestly I didn't go to sleep until I felt like it 😂 but it did relax me and put me in my comfy place. 🤗. I have a high tolerance so this was soso 😮💨
GDP is by far my favorite strain of cannabis. I'm highly functional when I'm stoned so I never get couch lock and it's 11:20am here, I'm about a half hour into vaping an 84% cart and I'm looking forward to getting out and about...so it chillaxes me and reduces my anxiety being out in a crowded situation which in a city is basically everywhere. I also have really bad chronic pain with a back problem since I was 17 and it's gotten worse over the years, I'm 44 now, and I just had to have my sixth spinal cortisone epidural, this time in the cervical spine area. NOT fun. So GDP is helping with the pain and soreness. Now being about a 40 minutes into vaping this morning I feel a sort of very tingly head feeling. The pain is zero...being stoned is the ONLY time I am mostly pain free so I appreciate Grandaddy's nurturing spirit. I'm very relaxed but not so much so that I want to go back to sleep, shoulders feel great. Music sounds amazing with GDP...I'm listening to Beethoven's third piano concerto...my friends say I listen to dead people. LOL. I will caution you that GDP likes to creep up on you and surprise you...one minute you're like completely clear and wondering if it was working and the next minute he's says, "BOO! Surprise!!!" and you're on cloud nine. Give it a good 15-20 minutes for it's full effect to kick in is my advice. Oh, as an aside, GDP and sex go very well together as it makes me very tactile...give it a try if you're so inclined, it might have the same effect on you. Welcome Grandaddy to your life and you won't regret it!
This sneaks up on you with a sweet head high that melts into a full body relaxing high. Helped relax my muscles and relieve my joint pain, and helped me to relax so I could get some sleep.
This is almost always my "go to" strain. It is simply a consistent and faithful friend that is always there to heal and medicate. If you need to relax your body, heal your muscles or get a good nights sleep, this strain will never let you down. And since I have grown this strain for years, I am aware of how beautiful the plant is and the amount of terpenes that cover the buds like a powdered donut. I love this strain and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to feel the sedating effect of a fantastic Indica. Can you say "couch-lock?" Uh . . . yeeeaaaa!
I wasn't expecting much out of this strain considering that I usually lean more towards hybrids due to the general heaviness of an indica high, but when I rolled into my dispensary my only options for CO2 cartridges were GDP or Green Crack. Considering that Green Crack has been a little bit to racy for me in the past I went with the GDP, and I wasn't let down. Maybe it's just that I had it in a CO2 concentrate rather than flower, but the body high is way over hyped for this strain. For some this may be a turn off, but I personally you know prefer to get shit done like cooking and painting when I'm high, so GDP's mild body high with and extra cerebral kick is like getting a full body massage to kick off your morning. If I had to knock this strain for one thing, it did give me mild heavy dry eyes.
