Good for insomnia
Calming, relaxing, flavor is great and sweet. Head and body high.
Good night! Umm......literally! The only reason for the one star reduction is for lack of daytime usage. I know for some that would be worth a sixth star. Reviews are spot on, first 15-30 mins its a racy, cerebral buzz.......but at that same mark, it begins to lay me out like a horse tranquilizer. Taste is amazing though, very berry-esque and grape like. Deelicious! Update, 7 months later: Still havent had anything that laid me out like this batch of GDP. Not even close.......prob the strongest strain Ive ever had.

At first I couldn't tell if I was high. If what I'm smoking is in fact Granddaddy Purple, it gives more of a body high than anything else.
It's not really an intense high so much as it's relaxing and lethargic. The effects I'm feeling are somewhat consistent with what most reviewers had posted. I'm not really an expert when it comes to some of the gimmicky names that are given to smoke, so I've no real way of identifying what I've got (other than the pictures). The shit I got before this was much stronger, and that was just regular shit, according to my buddy. I am feeling a bit sleepy, though. If this is indeed Granddaddy Purple, I probably wouldn't buy it again. I like a full lift, not just a body high.
Some of the smoothest I have ever smoked. Very sticky buds. Great in a joint, bong. A lingering airy high that leaves my body relaxed and my mind free to wander, lasts just over 2 hours but gives me a bit of a headache on the burnout.
Usually a fan of Purp. When I picked this up I thought it looked nice. Very dark dense nugs. The jar stood out to me on the shelf just because it was alot darker than all the others. When I got home to smoke it I was extremely dissapointed. Very harsh smoke with almost a bitter taste. Little to no effects. High lasted for a very short time. I most likely just got a bad batch that wasn't grown well so I will be picking it up from another dispensary soon to give it a fair chance but in my first go I was not so pleased!
