Kinda meh. Good strain if you want to just lay around all day, but it doesn't particularly help with pain, gives you bad dry mouth, and seems to wear off too fast to be worth it.
I have done large grows of G.P. 9 times now and was credited by a Sweet Seeds team member with revitalizing the popularity of the strain with some of my reviews and pics at various sites.....bottom line is i know the strain very, very well. I was a tester for the newer "fast" version too.
I love this strain, mainly be cause it gets high marks in potency, weight, ease of growth, height, type of high, uniformity, smell and taste, etc. Probably no 10/10 marks, but mostly 8/10 and 9/10. It's a very nice all-around strain and probably my personal favorite. Sweet Seeds has not released the genetics of the parents but it's safe to assume it's a hybrid of a sativa and an indica. Sweet Seeds says it's 70% indica/ 30% sativa but it's really more like 50/50.
So, smoke a little bit and it feels like a sativa buzz, all in the head and eyes. Smoke to much and it becomes a knock down, drag out indica. with a nap in your future. It's fruity and spicey to the senses and gets a thick resin cover on the buds. Sweet Seeds says it's a 7 week flowering period, but I let mine go to 9 weeks to bring out the essential goodness we all look for.
Great body high, great for sleep. Overall very strong indica.
good chill weed
Was waiting for this one patiently. Dr. Greenthumb recommended me this indica dominant hybrid, I was hooked immediately when researching this strain. The citrus aroma is really present, not in the way I expected, rather a sweet citrusy/lemon tea fragrance (brought back some memories from my childhood hehe). Wanted to have limonene based strain and this one definitely hits it.
Organic small batch, once it got cured properly, first taste came smooth like butter but also hit me in the lungs slightly, which I like among strains. No harshness, I felt like the bud and my lungs became big friends. The aftertaste is amazing, suitable when getting ready for extended dining course or just before eating. Not exactly hungry, but cravey mood for snacking once the cannabinoids are in full effect.
After day of hard work (18 km walked, 90% of it carrying heavier objects) this definitely puts on my 'afterwork seance' for relaxation, music is especially enjoyed. Body calm, head calm, if you want to be slowly punched to sleep, aim for a blunt. Heavier dosage definitely works as pure indica. Would mostly enjoy after a meal, work or sleep.
This strain is friggen great, however I have no idea what Leafly is talking about with this "Indica" thing.
SO if I'm not wrong about the Durban Poison heritage,(which is infamous for being a sativa that grows very much like an indica variety), than this puppy is exactly like the high feels: Sativa. This shit is barely vocal about the indica qualities, if any.
Seriously. Can't find a tracking of the lineage online at the moment, but I thought it was Green Crack/Durban Poison.
I know when I grew Green Poison, it certainly rose up like a Durban P, which, again, is the only known sativa to grow like an indica. (I've read that it's likely due to the plant being indigenous to the Durban Port of Africa and the equatorial heat prevalent there. A squat plant that retains moisture and offers itself more shade is more likely to survive in the region. Why this only happened in the northern African area, well... get me some dirt from north africa and I'll see what I can come up with).
