I am flabbergasted that this strain is less supported on leafly than it's newer incarnations. We got to support the roots yall, this strain is under-represented.

Form: 27% THC Michigan grown bud. Consumption route: a freshly cleaned medium size bong. I LOVE Granddady purp and had heard good things about Mendicino purps but had never seen it before, so I super excited to try it. I got a 1/4 of this at The Dude Abides dispensary in Constantine, MI for $30. Visually, the flower is stunning. Deep green with spots of deep purple with red hairs covered in tricomes that make it look like it has a light snow on it. The smell is PUNGENT and earthy as is the delicious taste. In short, one glance at this $h!t will tell you it's top shelf. As for the high, this Indica is definitely strong. I suffer from PTSD and bipolar one. The body high is extremely relaxing. As for the head high, I feel relaxed and spacey. I think this strain would work well for insomnia, pain, and mood disorders. I will be buying more Mendocino purps!

Purps sneaks up on you like a thief in the night. Initial reaction is that this stuff is crap, 10 minutes later you're pinned to the couch, 30 minutes later it's bedtime. Biggest drawback is that there are no legs to the high. Maybe it's a batch deficiency but if this would last more than an hour, it would be a 4.5 to 5-star strain.

I really love Mendo Purps for insomnia and for depression. It has a pleasant mild body tingle, and is very relaxing and calming, perfect for sleep. Very euphoric, pleasant taste, and very potent. I also like that it didn't make me feel paranoid or anxious at all; it's very calming.

This cut was from Root Down in Washington State. Called the purps this was my least favorite strain so far in the retail weed market. The only reason I gave it two stars were; one for being legal (low bar I know), two it was a well cured well trimmed bud. Other than that......meh...The smell was near nonexistent of grape and was more stale hey. I ended up smoking near the whole gram package before I felt anything and that was a short lived weak body high that was mildly relaxing. Very disappointed in a strain that has roots in so many other great strains I love.
