WOW. Northern Lights is one amazing indica--chill and mellow, with just enough "oomph" to get you high if you smoke enough of it. Many people report it putting them to sleep, but I don't experience that--just relaxation and "couch melt", no racing thoughts or heart pounding. That being said, I advise new or anxious users to GO SLOW with this stuff--at 19% THC (or higher) and very little (if any) CBD, it's kinda like a pillow. One pillow is comfy, but a ton of pillows will crush you. GO SLOW. Northern Lights is potent stuff. Take ONE little toke, then chill for 15-30 minutes. If you want a little more, take another TINY hit, then chill and feel its cozy embrace. I use cannabis to treat social and generalized anxiety, and while strains like NL don't have the juicy CBD I love, a little bit of the "good stuff" can be very relaxing IF you don't overdo it. I enjoy this in small doses from my glass one-hitter, or a tiny hit from my bong, but I'm sure a little vape hit would taste and feel amazing too. It has a sweet, fruity, delicious flavor and it's very smooth, so no coughing from me. She's a lovely lady, but go easy with her--with Northern Lights, less really is more. A gentle strain if you take it slow and steady, but a hard-hitting strain if you take big bong blasts, so respect this girl and she'll love you back =)
always a good go to strain for stress, pain and anxiety relief. some batches will exhibit more hybrid or sativa traits which will make the experience totally different from a solid indica phenotype. I just finished growing and curing a plant from seed that I bought off seedsman website. super floaty, mind calming and pain relieving effects! I feel like I'm floating down the river on a blow up raft right now hahaha!
My primary go to, reliable evening smoke. Definitely meant for passive activities (watching/listening) rather than active ones. Definitely will get you relaxed.
I Have Kidney Disease and Crohn's Disease, I am old and I am old school and I'm having a hard time with hybrids I can only do indicas so this Northern lights is a perfect fit for me I hope you enjoy it blessings
Whoah! I have a decent tolerance. when I came across this at only 16% thc, I thought it wouldn’t do much. I was wrong! I hit this out of a dugout and got blitzed af! I think I was too high! I actually got mild anxiety off this. I over indulged. It can make you sleepy. Me and my husband did the deed while I was on this. It was intense. This is a legendary strain for a reason. Even at mediocre THC levels, it is strong. If you come across it, get it.
Feeling very relaxed and inspired. I have bipolar and ptsd so a lot of anxiety & depression usually but I’m in a good mood and feeling optimistic which doesn’t always come easily. It has smooth, earthy flavor. I’m definitely a little sleepy, but then again I got 4 hours of sleep… so I’ll have no problem taking a nap. Lol 10/10 - would recommend.
By far one of the best strains ive ever smoked, Beautiful fluffy nugs and packed full THC and has an amazing relaxing feel. Definately smoking this again.
Background: I vape buds every night, using a Storz & Bickel Mighty set at 200 degrees Celsius. Prior to legalization in my area, I had little to no choice what I grew and smoked: weed was weed. But in the past few years I have had the opportunity to formally compare strains to find my favorites. Northern Lights is certainly in my Top 5.
I evaluate all strains with the same criteria: how far can I go at both ends of the cannabis spectrum at the same time? Can I get a numbing effect while freeing my mind of all the obsessive/negative thoughts? Sadly, the answer for most indica and hybrid strains I have tried (about 15) is no: I get one or the other, even with hybrids. But Northern Lights hits on both. It is my go-to strain when I can’t find Lost Coast or Blueberry Cookies. I’ve been using it for a year now, off and on.
Effect: I take hits every 30-60 seconds, and am feeling it within 10-15 minutes. The body effects are excellent: I go numb. I feel comfortably warm and light. A few minutes later, the psychoactive effects kick in and my mind quiets down. I can hold a conversation but prefer not to. I crave silence. My mind wanders in an amusing way: I hear melodies without any music playing. If I could animate it, it might look like a 60’s style art cartoon, minus the LSD weirdness. I never feel out of control, but I also know better than to attempt anything more ambitious than a walk to the restroom. If it didn’t mess with my concentration, I’d prefer to feel like that all day long.
