this strain is perfect for my chronic pain. doesn't sedate me unless I want it to. one of my absolute FAVORITES of all time!
My favorite flower right now. One big hit of the bong and I’m feeling the head change. After half a bowl I have a great head high. Doesn’t last super long. Maybe 45 mins - an hour but it’s a really good hour. For about an hour after that I can feel the residual buzz. Then time for another bowl 😁 Doesn’t drain the energy out of me, actually the opposite, makes me want to be productive, without the anxiousness of some strains. A+++ in my book.
I smoked a Curaleaf pre-roll of Orange Kush Cake. Not all of it, just the fat end of a 1g ($18). This was marketed as a Sativa. In no way is this Sativa. It may not not knock someone into the next world like Indica, but this is 100% not Sativa. I did not get high, I got stoned. My eyes were heavy and very red. My cognitive thinking was seriously impaired. I could watch videos and absorb them but reading and writing - like I'm doing now two days later - was very difficult. Time flew bye. Wow another hour and a half gone and it seemed like ten minutes. The worst thing is it's two days later and I'm still feeling the ill effects in my eyes and cognitively as well. The top front of my head is effected and headachy. For me this hybrid OKC is poison. I will not smoke the rest of that pre-roll. If you like Indica and want to watch movies and not fall asleep this OKC is for you. If you want to be clear headed and blazing high than stay far away from this. Curaleaf should be marketing this as an Indica leaning hybrid, not Sativa..
Omg Words cant discribe hoe delicous this strain is the effects are amazeing the smell is delightful i love sandlewood i love how sticky it is this strain needs to be in hiphop ive hade og kush but this Kush is better than the Og Kush
In the jar it looks fluffy & smells of oranges & Kush. Taste the same in the inhale, plenty of kushy on the exhale, nice. The high is unique. It hits the headband quick. The head high fades about 20 mins later but the body high sneaks up on you about the same time. I like OKC anytime as it makes me very productive but after an hour my body is heavy. Like most in the Kush fam, have a bit more of it and you get right back to the head high and the heavy seems to fade, this cycle is so predicable, you can count on the same high every time-would be a very good choice for those suffering from chronic pain. Would I buy again, heck yeah.
OKC is my all-time favorite strain for a number of reasons. Here are just a handful of them:
1. It is STRONG. Definitely not a beginner’s bud.
2. It’s a true hybrid. On the indica-to-sativa spectrum, I personally feel it leans toward the indica end, but it’s legitimately a great strain at any time of day.
3. It tastes amazing. I’d describe it as more broadly citrus than being orangey specifically, but it’s a very pleasant, sweet flavor.
4. It’s incredible at providing pain relief. Even in smaller doses, OKC doesn’t play.
5. It doesn’t seem to inhibit my productivity. If anything, I see a boost to my creativity. (Recently, I got an idea for a novel after medicating with OKC. And by “idea” I mean the entire plot of the book basically just appeared in my brain.)
The only thing making me hesitant to recommend OKC is the fact that if everyone knows how great it is, then it’ll sell out faster than it already does.

Just took a fat hit out of the bowl. The taste is somewhat gas like at first and a wood after-taste. Could be the sandlewood described. It’s not a bad taste. The effect is mellow all over the body and mind but I don’t feel stuck. I still feel like I can head out and take my dogs for a walk. I can also tell that if I smoke more I can melt in front of my tv and binge watch shows all day. Great for relieving stress and chilling. Perfect for a Sunday and watching football all day.
