This strain was a lovely surprise. At first, I was using it in my Volcano at the same volume as other strains (Grand Daddy Purple and Critical Jack) and found that I could halve the dose in my Volcano and get a great effect for pain and sleep. I have MS and I take my medicine via Vaping through a Volcano. At first, when I did not know better, I made the dose too compact and too heavy. I was finding that the vapor was a little heavy and harsh and was burning my throat. I quickly learned to pack the volcano bowl looser and only fill it up partially. This made all the difference in the world. The taste was nice and the harshness was gone. The first time it hurt my throat so bad that I used a numbing spray for my throat. No more of that with a lighter packed bowl. The taste is a little earthy with pine notes and a slightly fruity finish. The effect for me with Multiple Sclerosis has been very positive! I have pain and muscle spasticity as well as a really tough time sleeping. This strain hits nicely - and hard. The effect on pain is a slight and very temporary increase in pain (I feel like it's flushing out pain receptors) and then a blanket of relief that replaces pain sensations with a buzzing and kind of electric feeling. It's almost like my natural TENS unit. When my kitty lays next to me - and purrs since he likes a whiff too - it's like a spa and very heavenly. I cannot even begin to describe the relief that the right strains like this bring to me. Not all strains are created equal and not all strains provide the type of relief someone with MS needs. Fortunately, Platinum OG is one of the glorious strains that helps usher sleep in and more rest. Great medicine, strong medicine and sleep inducing. I think if you are new to this strain, take it with a little caution. You can always go back for me. I hope run across this strain again in the near future.

Was a smooth high. My first hit allowed me to relax for the night. After a second and third hit I was settled in and still energized enough to enjoy my night and the high LONG before going to sleep. Felt like the relaxation of an indica mixed with the energy of a sativa. That balance 👌🏽 cant wait to smoke more of this.
