Power plant is a serious strain, very hearty, pungent and hard hitting. Nice uplifting and cerebral effects. It smells very sweet and earthy and the taste is more nutty sort of. It’s a quick sativa buzz onset, pleasant.
The first smell of this strain was a little confusing. It smelt weird. Smoked ok, wasn't particularly great for taste, especially if you accidentally burnt it when vaping. Clear cerebral high, doesn't last long. Was up and ready to drive an hour/two hours after a bowl. Would give this 3/5. It's good to smoke if you have it, but I probably would go for something else if I could.

The strain is overall an average sativa with no intense effects or body feelings

cheap shit, smoked it pure with a mate of me and no hard effects were notable, so i prefer ww or kush!
greets from the netherlands
Good allday strain with a clear focus and when the effects slowly ends, it makes me very relax. Not a heavy strain, but not bad - provided it's from dutch passion. Sometimes i get a lil headache.
Man...power plant is one potent sativa that just knocked my constant back pain right out. Nice, enjoyable happy buzz as well. Great strain!
i got to say that this one is a verry special one when i first tried it it was like hmm i smoked better for the first 40 min you have a soft feeling of what you normally have of an regular amnesia but after that 40 min i got a verry wierd feeling something i could describe i woke up and i stil could feel it
I grew four plants of this strain in 2005 from seeds I got from an ounce of it purchased at CannaMed Care on Sutter in SF. This is a magnificent Sativa with a citrus and pepper aroma along with an energetic cerebral high.
The plant is compact but not too big. I grew four Jack Herer plants at the same time and they towered above. The branching with Power Plant is very even and there are not excessive calyxes at each node, which helps air out each flower to avoid mold.
Despite the lack of energy at the nodes, Power Plant is a huge producer. I harvested more from the Power Plant then the Jack Herer, which had grown much bigger and taken up a lot of space. I also found myself giving away most of the Jack Herer and keeping the Power Plant to my greedy self.
The seeds are still available from Dutch Passion, and they are the smallest little pot seeds you have ever seen in your life. Half the size of all other seeds, I think the plants go way back with their genetics, surviving because of their unattractive oil content for bird life.
As for the name, Power Plant, well... it has growing power and big yields in small spaces. Dutch genetics were a big deal in the 90's and it's possible this was like a nostalgic "Power Chord" for the creators. I wish there were more of it around now.
