I tried this after trying another sage strain, thinking it would be the perfect combination with the sour. I suppose it was, but I found myself getting a very cerebral high but was still able to be quite talkative. The downside was I supposed to be somewhere, but instead a friend and I found ourselves blabbering on about nonsense for over an hour in order to feel "calm" enough to finally go to where we needed to go. It was quite strange, but I'm never one to knock anything that actually gives me energy as this is often quite difficult to do. I had some more about 2 hours later and found that I had lost that metal charge and just became cloudy, stoney, quiet and a bit paranoid.
Strain: Sage N Sour (Sour Diesel / Sage cross -- Sativa leaning [Hybrid?])
THC: 27.61%
CBD: 0.10%
Grower: LGF
Location found: KaLeafa
Date purchased: 3.16.16
Price: $30.00 an ⅛th
Weight: 3.5g
Method of Consumption: Herb Iron and small bong
Smell: Herbal floral earthy pleasantly Sour Diesel. Smells like a bouquet that is at a small distance, but the herb is near my nose.
Look: Little dense light green nugs coated in orange hairs and crystals. ←Makes me happy it is the St Paddy’s Day holiday bud of some of my dreams. The bud structure is more dense than Sour Diesels I have seen. The Sage crossing is a superb idea. Trimmed well.
Taste: I am hypersensitive to any tastes of Sour Diesel (in my lungs or in the air). It is present but faint. The Sage, herbal flavor comes through in some potent ways. The floral, bouquet aroma did not translate into a sharp taste but the lingering flavor left behind was where the Sour D decided to stay. It is Sage going in, Sour Diesel after it is out. Amazing and eerie.
Recommendation for medicine: This was good for an uplifting, mostly Sativa bud. At 27%+, focus that some speak of is a little more difficult to wrap my head around but there are so many variations, how to compare sometimes...It is definitely a euphoria strain in my humble (and high) opinion. I think that if it causes me not to feel much, it could be a nice pain relief for some conditions.
My go-to Sativa! Uplifts me and makes me giggly. Amazing terpene profile and content too on MTL’s Sage N Sour
I really enjoy this strain. I have never tried outdoor grown flower but I think next summer I will try a plant or two. I don’t know why, but I like outdoor grown more than indoor. This strain is good for any time of day but I do tend to lose my train of thought during conversations after I’ve had a few. I love the taste and smell. And although the kolas are powerful, there is not a huge difference of potency from the lower flower compared to flower that is closer to the top.
I gave sour sage a try because I love sour diesel but could not get rid of this strain fast enough! The negative side effects overpowered any good that could come of it. Extreme dry mouth, dry eyes, paranoia, general sense of unease, inability to focus, and anxiety. I tend to go for an engaged + energetic but low anxiety strain and this was the antithesis of that. Please be warned.
Very pungent - smells like sage with cheese. Chronic Therapy grows the crap out of this. I've never smoked anything else that made me so giggly and euphoric. I watched Parks and Rec for a full 3 hours on this. That show has never been funnier.
new favorite. will get anytime available
I was gifted some Sage and Sour grown by MTL Cannabis. I usually get their “Low Key” strains, which are great and more in my price range, this is their top shelf strain.
I really enjoyed it, it’s not too strong for me, and I didn’t get any paranoia or anxiety. It’s a relaxing smoke without being overly sedating and it also tastes great, my mouth actually waters when I smoke it!
