This has been my favorite sativa that I have tried. I'm not a fan of the flavor profile, as it glides past your tongue leaving an artificial vanilla plastic taste. There are hints of diesel that remind me of the old grain trucks from my days farming on the Palouse. Despite my little enthusiasm for the flavor, the benefits of this strain are amazing. This strain was new to me and I tested it out for an entire week to fully experience it's effects. Once as a first time try and then to document how it affected me after successive sessions. 1. The other sativas I have tried have done little to combat pain, and mostly just provided some sort of mood elevation to varying degrees. This is the first Sativa I have experienced that really works on your pain and gives you energy and increased joy. I used this at work and all of my clients and coworker were laughing thinking I was the funniest person ever. Let me just say, despite all the stresses and medical issues I have going on in my life right now, this strain made it possible for me to fully enjoy an entire week of my life. I was so happy you could tell it was infectious to everyone around me. I played outside with my daughters a lot, I was singing all over the house. I found myself being so happy and grateful for everything I have in my life, and completely content. For the first time in my life I think I know what pure joy felt like. That is how this strain made me feel. 2. This strain helped me beat back frequent nausea, and daily headaches and migraines. I was able to enjoy outdoor activities, being active, and it completely curbed all depression and stress. 3. The only negative I have for this strain is that you are so busy enjoying life that sometimes you can lose track of time. I was having really great conversation with my clients and it was easy to fall behind on appointment times if I wasn't focusing super hard at running on time. That being said, my work was turning out amazing and everyone left feeling extremely happy. I definitely was able to be very creative under the influence of this medicine. When I have the opportunity I will definitely put more of this strain on my shelf.

Just smoked SD right now for the second time. The first time I didn't enjoy because of anxiety, which may have been due to me over smoking what was my first real sativa strain. This time around I took only one deep toke. I do not have the anxiety like I did the first time I overstocked, but oddly enough I feel more high this time. I feel very euphoric. This is also the first strain that has actually ever given me a decent boost in mood. I feel pretty relaxed and uplifted. But... I'm sticking to a rating for 3.5 because even though the anxiety did not come this time, I feel way too spacey and dizzy for my liking. I'm looking for a "take a toke and still be able to go to work" type strain. It looks like, for me, this strain isn't that strain.

Despite the strong flavor of diesel and undertones of earthy and woody flavors, this strain is still top brass and is in my top 5 favorite strains. Each hit supplies a powerful cerebral effect that uplifts and energizes the user. In my experience the hit really punches you, but then mellows out a bit within a few minutes of inhalation. Even after it mellows out it's still stronger than most strains I usually dabble around in. Ranging around 20% THC to 25% THC on average, this strain supplies a great formula for stress, pain, and inflammation relief as well as curbs feelings of depression and overall lifts the mood. This strain can be a bit intense for a newer user and may cause anxiety in fellows who are already prone to anxiety and panic attacks, so use caution if you are a new or light user and take hits one at a time and see how each affects you. Otherwise, toke away friends. :)

The sum of the reviews and "bars" here gives a pretty accurate preview. THAT's great, that we can hunt strains using Leafly's database. And this strain was recognizable in Flower, Wax and Oil. The majority of "up" sativa cannabis can be so "mental" that it easily turns into anxiety and thought-shuffling confusion. Sour Diesel, instead, is comforting. It's also distinctly different from a lot of popular cannabis in that it has a bodily energy built-in. It IS energizing, and not in a silly giggly sort of way. You can focus almost as much as you want/need to, while the senses are expanded. Some (insightful) thought patterns have surprised me, a smidge of psychedelia. Fun with friends. Yet it's got insulation qualities so you can allow your attention to drift, and good muscle relaxation, again not in a typical, sedating way. In fact the energy drive is hard to turn off. Not knowing the source, I might have suspected "lacing". I managed to get a lot done that day - definitely energized. A little THC flutter at higher levels, took a little effort to stay on track. And not recommended at bedtime. Since it didn't knock me off my feet, it first seemed a bit weak, but after a moment, big slow waves of different effects were coming my way. The most surprising thing was how much my sciatica (lower back pinched nerves) pain improved. Not by distraction, as with many sativas, but by something more like a super-indica "real analgesic" effect from the waist down. I was able to walk twice as long as normally, and this effect persisted for hours, longer than expected, even a trace into the next morning. Synergizes well with my Rx pain meds. I'm guessing that this is a specific effect that won't work for everyone. If you're one of the sensitive-to-SD patients with lower back problems, you'll be rewarded ;-) This is definitely a fascinating one to check out, and a good "tool" strain, as opposed to a "state" strain. It's easy to understand why the Diesel derivs are so popular. I suspect it can be a day-long regular for many.

smoked half a blunt of some Sour D and went to a get together full of new people and wasn't anxious at all, increased concentration and ability to focus, and then we all played that game headbandz where you guess what's on the card attached to your forehead and I destroyed everyone. great high to get you in the zone to be cerebral, and also great for socializing. I fucking love this shit.
