The version I had was Sweet Trainwreck Auto from Sweet Seeds. After being somewhat looked over for a year and a half I visited this strain again. It had been sitting on a shelf curing in a Mason jar. The smell is that of Iced Tea and Lemonade (aka an Arnold Palmer). As such it paired nicely with a few Long Island's. After a couple rips from the bong my head started reeling. It's very cerebral and less body buzz. It will really mess with your vision/give you visions. Under her influence I've 1) seen the line in my no line bifocals, 2) had my glasses turn into 10x binoculars where everything seemed super close up, and 3) witnessed the soul of a deceased squirrel. More on the squirrel... while suffering a major case of the gigs, my son starts watching YouTube videos for extreme mouse traps. one redneck version utilized a shotgun. A squirrel takes the bait and activates the mouse trap and is shot by the shotgun. The whole thing is shot in slow motion. . Severals later, you can see a semi transparent object float from just above the squirrel up to the top of the image. I was convinced I just saw proof of the after life and the squirrel's soul rising to the heavens. The next day I revisited the video. It was just part of the mechanism for the trap, a piece of screen. Henceforth, Trainwreck has been nicknamed "Squirrel Soul" in our house.
This is my go-to daytime strain. At low doses, this is an excellent energy boost and productivity driver with only minimal cognitive slowing. At medium doses it’s perfect for yard work or other on-your-feet tasks.
I keep wanting to call it Time Wreck, because at high doses there is significant time distortion. Wikipedia is a potential hazard at this stage.
I'm a daily sativa senior, PM only... Trainwreck is a staple of mine. I feel both euphoric and energized so it is great for daytime and socializing. Trainwreck is perfect for a walk in the park!😀
The first strain I ever got that was considered high quality. The smell is very unique and the high is intense and tends to give me headaches if I am too active. I also find that I prefer to smoke it by myself instead of in groups because generally In groups i tend to be active while by myself I can relax and think. Overall I really like train wreck as a night time high to relax after a long day but I'm not a fan of using it during the day or If I plan on being out and about.
I'm smoking a J of the Train wreck rite now, mixed with a little G13. we'll call it a salad bone.lol. The taste feels nice n smooth in the back of the throat. Great euphoric feel afterward, but doesn't last to long. This flower is good to smoke b4 work or school, the effects have more of a sativa like quality.
Very happy weed. makes the world feel grounded again. Great antidepressant.
This strand as a vape really does it's job well. I think the name isn't all that fitting except when I get like a wreck but need to keep going. This has replaced my need for caffeine as it works better with no fallout.
My only negative is how much it makes me cough when I take a hit. It doesn't matter if it's a small hit or a few hits, I'm always coughing afterwards. It's got this peppery spice to it that makes the coughing a thing but I'm willing to deal with that due to how well it helps me through working all night.
I generally prefer sativa for its uplifting effects and clarity of thought. Yet, as we speak, I'm getting high on some lovely indica, and it's a lush sigh of relief after the jittery ride that is trainwreck that I was smoking earlier this evening.
I've smoked trainwreck several times now - indoors and outdoors, active and chilled - and while in amongst the racing thoughts have been a few deep insights, relentless introspection can take its toll. It was certainly potent enough to lift me out of a depressive funk, but it was more a nervous energy than uplifting.
