I smoked this strain once and it was non-eventful. I tried it again (different grower) and absolutely loved it. The high was a verifiable rush of pain relief, at the same time giving me a warm, uplifting, happy feeling. Even though I am a 24/7 medical user, I definitely felt it's effects without it overpowering, over-energizing, over-sedating or so strongly affecting my short term memory like sativas seem to do. A new daytime favorite.
High CBD strain. CBD:THC ratio of 5:2, making this strain one of the most effective out there for treatment of pain and anxiety.
Love this had a headache 190+ days straight. Took the edge off without total high. Great pain relief
Great preroll choice. CBD with decent buzz.
Perfect for day use. Clear head and provides energy
Ringos gift and harlequin have been my favorite so far. The strains that actually worked on my anxiety so I really recommend this CBD strain.
Harlequin so far is a fantastic daytime strain for me. I smoke daily to combat symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD, as well as chronic migraines, and back and hip pain (wow, I really sound like a mess when it's all listed like that). Since I'm relying on cannabis to do most of the work here, sometimes I have to smoke so much that I become spacey and confused, which is not really the state I want to be in 24/7. Okay, it's not really the state I CAN be in 24/7.
So I jumped at the chance to try this high-CBD strain when it came in to my usual dispensary, and while I can't expect any single strain to solve every problem I have (still coming to terms with this; is it too much to ask for a magical strain that will cure all my illnesses, clear my skin, water my crops, and inflate my bank account by $50000???), this strain is a great base for daytime smoking. It really cuts the edge off my anxiety and lifts my mood a bit without making me feel (or act) high. Not to mention, I've had much better results with pain management with this strain without such a high dosage that I have to go lay down (I've not had a migraine in the three days since I bought this strain, so haven't had a chance to test it on that).
I will say that if you're used to higher THC strains, you'll probably be waiting for whatever level of "high" that means you've smoked the right amount. With this one, it may not come! But, at least for me, many of the benefits are still there. I have also had success mixing it with a little indica-dominant hybrid on days when I'm at home and the anxiety or pain is particularly bad. Try mixing Harlequin with your favorite high-THC strain! It pays to experiment!
Harlequin has got to be one of the best strains out there. The CBD/THC ratio makes it worth while. No paranoia, no anxiety, just simple relaxation and readiness for the day.
