I have crippling anxiety. Been smoking weed for ~20 years, and recently my anxiety and paranoia have been through the roof after a bunch of stressful life events. I was going to stop smoking weed beacause every strain has been making me freak out... And then I found out about Harlequin. Holy crap. Just the right amount of THC to balance out the high CBD content to make you feel better. It seriously is the only strain of marijuana that I can smoke and not feel too weird to go into a store and do some shopping or whatever I need to do. It doesn't slow me down or make me anxious AT ALL. Works well for pain, although occasionally I'll get a mild headache from it but it doesn't last too long. I am so thrilled that my local dispensary was offering this to the recreational patients, as I decided against getting a medical card. Such a great strain. Five thumbs up!

This strain is the ONE I've looked for since becoming a medical card holder. Being newish to cannabis in a market nearly geared for "Let's get Zooted!" is really challenging for someone that gets anxiety and paranoia easily from high THC strains that are the majority available. Harlequin, with the right CBD/THC ratios allows me to happy, relaxed and has my anxiety melted away immediately. This strain does this without loosing much mental focus and clarity and provides me with a small boost of energy. A perfect strain for a guy with anxiety and stress that does what you'd expect cannabis to do... relax you! It doesn't get you inebriated or want to just go sleep on the couch but instead just makes you feel like "Everything is alright". I'm so happy to have found Harlequin. This is the first strain that feels right for me. Highly recommend if you can find it with a ratio that works for you. I am enjoying this flower through a dry herb vape.

I’m someone who is hesitant to try new strains due to anxiety issues from PTSD. I’m glad I tried this one. It’s like a cup of coffee on a rainy afternoon. I’m productive, confident, and uplifted. No anxiety at all. Harlequin is my girl now.

I gotta say there was a lot of hype so I threw it on the list. My first couple hits, I was waiting for effects which took about 5-10min. The starting effect is a light buzz (2 beers). About 15 minutes after that you slowly start to notice a calmness slow filling the room. Coming at you from all sides. Before you know it your air bubble pops and everything is very calm. The best part is your buzz lowers so you’re functional for small projects. But there’s the focus and productivity that comes with it. Must-have in stash especially for a Monday.

Mild and energetic. It has that Sativa high, where your mind gets energized and creative, but it isn't so overwhelming that you're bouncing from thought to thought. Unlike many Sativas, this gives me no anxiety. In fact, it reduces it! Can definitely note the high CBD:THC ratio. Also, no couch-lock. Overall, would highly recommend.

Great strain for my Fibro pain and inflammation issues. I have to smoke this in daytime or hours before bed, as it tends to keep me awake and focused. Also calms stress and anxieties for me. I like the smooth flavor and mellow high.

Almost magic effect on my benign essential tremor! Tincture leaves almost no head high at all, but vaping got me fairly high. Had a vape hit before bed and was really very restless trying to sleep--definitely a daytime strain for me. I'm seeking a clear-headed treatment, and this one seems to be exactly that. In terms of pain relief, I'd say it was moderate to very good--aware of pain but didn't care. Didn't do much for my methadone-induced nausea, however. After trying about 10 different strains for medical effects, this is by far my favorite!! Thanks to The Standard in Holistic Medicine in Graham, WA

If there were "One Strain to Rule Them All" (that is, one strain that pretty much ALL cannabis users would agree is great), I believe Harlequin would be it. It's the utility infielder of bud, the workhorse, that guy or girl in highschool or at work that everyone likes and gets along with. Simply put, Harlequin is a chill, relaxing strain that won't put you to sleep (indica) or get your thoughts and heartbeat racing (many sativas)--instead, you get the best of both worlds. The calm, mellow body high of an indica, plus the mental clarity of a good sativa. I always keep some Quin on hand in case I run out of Critical Cure (my absolute #1 fave strain), because I get VERY anxious if the THC is too high (above 10-12%). Quin deals with that by keeping the THC low and the CBD strong, so you can puff away and enjoy a fun little buzz plus the relaxation comfort of CBD preventing paranoia and anxiety. I only took off one star because Quin tends to make my eyes very dry, it can make me feel a little spacey, I get a little bit fatigued on the comedown, and it makes me VERY hungry--but remember, everyone reacts differently to strains. Overall, Quin is fantastic and it's very widely available, so if you're looking for something that will give you a bit of a buzz while offering you the calming effects of CBD, Quin is a great choice. I just suggest keeping some eyedrops and your fave food on hand in case it dries out your eyes and gives you the munchos like it typically does for me.
