This is an excellent strain to have with your morning coffee. Light and lifting but yet feel the stress and pain flow out to start your day🌞
If there were "One Strain to Rule Them All" (that is, one strain that pretty much ALL cannabis users would agree is great), I believe Harlequin would be it. It's the utility infielder of bud, the workhorse, that guy or girl in highschool or at work that everyone likes and gets along with. Simply put, Harlequin is a chill, relaxing strain that won't put you to sleep (indica) or get your thoughts and heartbeat racing (many sativas)--instead, you get the best of both worlds. The calm, mellow body high of an indica, plus the mental clarity of a good sativa. I always keep some Quin on hand in case I run out of Critical Cure (my absolute #1 fave strain), because I get VERY anxious if the THC is too high (above 10-12%). Quin deals with that by keeping the THC low and the CBD strong, so you can puff away and enjoy a fun little buzz plus the relaxation comfort of CBD preventing paranoia and anxiety. I only took off one star because Quin tends to make my eyes very dry, it can make me feel a little spacey, I get a little bit fatigued on the comedown, and it makes me VERY hungry--but remember, everyone reacts differently to strains. Overall, Quin is fantastic and it's very widely available, so if you're looking for something that will give you a bit of a buzz while offering you the calming effects of CBD, Quin is a great choice. I just suggest keeping some eyedrops and your fave food on hand in case it dries out your eyes and gives you the munchos like it typically does for me.
Hi All
I've been growing, breeding and partaking of this magic plant for over 45 years now and this strain is one of my favourites. I agree strongly with others who have identified it as being a classic. It reminds me very much of the early, mid 70's grass I first encountered on this incredible journey. Doesn't blow you away, doesn't leave you wanting either. A fantastic socialiser and is a firm favourite amongst the crowd I hang with. I find I can party hearty, have a beverage or two and maintain my s__t together enough to be communicative and sensible. What more could you ask? I do also enjoy heavy Sativas and Indias for the special self-reflection periods when they present, but this is a strain I highly recommend.
Highly recommended!
Cheers
Mild and energetic. It has that Sativa high, where your mind gets energized and creative, but it isn't so overwhelming that you're bouncing from thought to thought. Unlike many Sativas, this gives me no anxiety. In fact, it reduces it! Can definitely note the high CBD:THC ratio. Also, no couch-lock.
Overall, would highly recommend.
Great strain for my Fibro pain and inflammation issues. I have to smoke this in daytime or hours before bed, as it tends to keep me awake and focused. Also calms stress and anxieties for me. I like the smooth flavor and mellow high.
Almost magic effect on my benign essential tremor! Tincture leaves almost no head high at all, but vaping got me fairly high. Had a vape hit before bed and was really very restless trying to sleep--definitely a daytime strain for me. I'm seeking a clear-headed treatment, and this one seems to be exactly that. In terms of pain relief, I'd say it was moderate to very good--aware of pain but didn't care. Didn't do much for my methadone-induced nausea, however. After trying about 10 different strains for medical effects, this is by far my favorite!!
Thanks to The Standard in Holistic Medicine in Graham, WA
excellent strand, with the hi cbd content, it almost instantly sinks in from first hit. by far my favorite for the muscle pain in my back and doesn't take much while at the same time I'm still alert and functional during the day but also very relaxing at night.
So I picked up some Harlequin and Cannatonic from SCMN in Aptos, CA. to do a little research on the High CBD strains. The Harlequin tested at 9% THC and 8% CBD, The Cannatonic tested at 6%THC and 15%+CBD.
I definitely like Harlequin a whole lot more. I smoked some before bed, and I was able to get that really nice numbing effect in the body. I was watching some Netflix and I was able to focus on the shows that I was watching. I didn't feel too high.
This is a great strain to just relax and chill out at home. Very good if you're trying to function.
Very different experience smoking Harlequin. I love the feeling and I love the pain relief.
*I recommend to try and get this strain at a 1:1 ratio (THC: CBD), like I did (or as close to it).
