I suffer from severe chronic pain from combination of degenerative cervical disc disease and also have a number of bone spurs in several locations on my spine and am prescribed opioids for nearly 4 years with varying pain levels of between 5 and 8 on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being pain free and 10 needing immediate surgery. Initially I was prescribed 6 oxycodone pain pills a day which helped with the pain but also had me "sleeping" when I should have been working, quite a bit in fact and also causing severe constipation, something I had never experienced except maybe a couple time in my 50+ year life up until that point and it became nightmarish in the mornings trying to evacuate while suffering in pain waiting to take the first pill of the day. Since introducing cannabis to help the opioids for pain and inflammation relief approx 18 months ago, I have been successful in reducing my opioid intake by more than 75% and along with that the comparable intake of laxatives which together will eventually create major internal problems if not curtailed. Hence my near fanatasistic search for a cannabis strain or products that will help me attain my goal which is to further reduce the opioid intake even more, to a point where I only take narcotic pain meds periodically rather than every day or at least reduce it another 20% or more. This brings me to the strain headband which I've also attemted to include an image of the product on hand ( it would be good if we could upload more than 1 image). While purchasing some purple buds down south I had asked my friends connection if there was something he thought I should look for specifically to help me with reducing my pain meds and he answered "Headband". Ok well I finally got some headband from elemental wellness in san jose and while it hasn't been rated a 10, I do rate it a solid 7 as it doesn't destroy me from a high standpoint but it does provide some pain relief and on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the holy grail, I rate it a 6+ maybe 7. I am very conservative when it comes to grading cannabis so others may grade this higher. The bud you see here gives off a lovely "west coast" type flavor or taste which is clean and herbal. Quite nice. As you can see in the images there's considerable trichromes and the buds are fairly tight yielding slightly more product than expected when put in a grinder. I use a 2.25 inch smart crusher and I'm implementing the headband a variety of ways. For the most part I partake while I work in an office environment so I utilize a dry pipe or standard pipe. I also utilize a Volcano vaporizor and the headband will leave you quite open minded after doing a bag on the volcano. It will oil up your screen if you use one so have plenty of them pre-formed so all you have to do is pop the old one out and the new one in so you can continue enjoying Headband from Elemental Wellness where it's advertised an Sativa/Indica at 22.63% THC Please note that my pain condition is severe. A slight fender bender will put me in intensive care. A surgeon with integrity told me that surgery is not my best option because once we start I am almost guaranteed a 2nd, 3rd and maybe a lifetime of surgeries which could debiliate me further. So again I must strees my near ultra tight grading of the qualities of cannabis. If you are in chronic pain and in need of Vicodin for example this strain from Elemental should help you fine and maybe be a little overpowering during the day so use it sparingly at 1st until you have a better idea of what's best for you. I have a few dozen strains to catch up with reviews from a middle aged chronic pain , heart and vascular patient. I have a website with multiple images and will see if it's ok for me to post a link to my information website which I think would enhance Leafly not compete with it. This is my first review please bear with me while I catch up and ask the mods or owners of Leafly if I can do that or if there's some way to add more images.

Love this strain! I am a high anxiety individual and explained this to my caregiver at my dispensary. I am the type to get anxiety over any new medication I try and will psyche myself into an anxiety attack, marijuana is no different. My caregiver suggested this strain to help my anxiety and pain and I was so afraid I would be anxious. I wasn't one bit! not an ounce of anxiety was felt. I was relaxed and giggly. I felt lighter and just enjoyed a movie in bed with my snacks. Definitely a new fav!

Method of consumption - Flower, Smoking and vape. ————— Smell — I will divvy this category up into three pieces. Full flower, grounded up flower, and smoke. Full — I could tell it was one of Sour Diesel hybrids. It was very diesel to it before grinding up. Very pungent. Definitely not something to carry on your person without smell proofing it. Ground — The diesel is no longer in the spot light. The lemon citrus tones are very apparent. It’s very lovely because it muffles the diesel with citrus profile and a nutty earth-like base. I questioned myself and decided to reconfirm that it’s fathered by Sour Diesel by looking up. Smoke — Oddly, the precious scent is lost. It’s bizarrely replaced with something sweet. I wasn’t able to pinpoint what. It’s just sweet smelling. (I first registered it as something close as sweet almonds but it wasn’t even it.) ————— Taste — Lemony with a slight hint of nutty vanilla. However the after taste is somewhat unpleasant. Don’t fret, the aftertaste is easily ignored after few sips of water. ————— Effect — This strain needs a cannabis-like mood ring to survey the range of how it would effect you. If you heeded my tip below or others’ reviews before trying this strain and took few hits, you would be rewarded with a cerebral stimulation. You’ll get lifted in a mellow sense. A soft touch of energetic boost or euphoria. You’d feel creative, productive, or a good tunnel of focus. However, it also relaxes you. You’d also feel like you can get through the day. (I can see this strain being pairable with a good cup of coffee.) If you didn’t heeded anybody’s tips or warnings, that’s okay. Just brace yourself for a body melting relaxation with tingly sensation massaging your spine, neck, and mostly your head. (This probably is the slight pressure on the head they were talking about.) Which is amazing after a long day. Free massage included, who can complain about this after buying this strain? Read a book, watch a favorite show, or play video games after many hits is a good combo. Or even cuddling. This is truly a versatile strain. This strain would be amazing for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and maybe bipolar disorder (I can’t confirm this as I don’t have this). This strain does good, but not great, for physical conditions like migraines and spinal injuries. However it didn’t do much for my Crohn’s Disease pains. ————— Negatives — This strain is sharp. I coughed every time I took a draw. Its as if it’s dense instead of smooth. I’ve tried both vape and bong, both yielded same results with coughing. ————— Munchies — I’m unsure if it’s actually low or I’m constantly full from drinking so much of water. I had a bit of Fritos chips with bean dip (about a handful) and two mint Oreo thins. Maybe a four out of 10. ————— Extra — This strain is both potent and rough on your throat. Take few hits and wait because, trust me, you don’t need much for this one to hit in. It’s also slow acting (thus adding to the tip of taking it easy), but progressively quick when you take one too many hits. I don’t recommend this to beginners. I definitely don’t. ————— My medical conditions are anxiety, Crohn’s disease, depression, insomnia, migraines, PTSD, and spinal injury (disc herniation).

User beware! This is some potent Ganga! And I loved it! However, I took a break from consuming for awhile and this was definitely NOT the strain to start back on. Beautiful flower with a really sweet smell. Exactly what you want your bud to smell like. The effects are slow to show but it's kind of a cool feeling when it starts to hit. Almost like you're slowly sitting back in a nice fluffy warm recliner. Definitely feel that buzz around forehead the first several uses but I found the more I had the less I felt it. Kind of a surprising feeling for me, but most users will find it pleasant. Because of its slow onset and higher potency, first time users should save this Ganga for the bottom region of the hit list. Too much too soon put me in a stupor. A great high, great pain and anxiety relief, but definitely not one for trying to sound smart or being out and about in public until you're used to it. Tastes like the color purple without tasting like a grape. Earthy and smooth on the inhale, sweet and fruity on the exhale. Flavors that could only be described as dank and delicious. Definitely a great bud for sleep and pain. A real slap happy high great for depression and anxiety!

A potent mix of the mythic OG Kush and the fabled Sour Diesel, Headband is a strain that lives up to its parentage. A giggly, surreal and fun high is produced by smoking this strain, and the high is very enjoyable, especially if experienced with friends and loved ones. A highly recommended strain for just chilling with your cat and girlfriend on a beautiful summer night.

OMG!!!! This is the best strain for my pain that I've ever tried. This is the only strain which helped significantly with my sciatic pain. I've been looking for something to help for years and nothing helped like this strain has helped me with nerve pain. No prescription pain management drug has been able to help with that either. Need to put this in a pill and get Health Canada to run trials for approval for it's use. Seriously. I can't praise it enough for that purpose. Otherwise it's true to it's name. Makes you feel like you have a headband on. Total relaxation, awesome for pain and inner contemplation. Body and brain high which will make you loose yourself in your own thoughts for long periods of time. Get comfortable and throw on some chill tunes or video. Doesn't matter what it is, the party is in your head. Don't consume this strain if you have plans. Make sure all preparations for food and drink are ready cause... Once you smoke it, you'll probably miss or forget all about those plans, unless there is a more responsible person about.

Didn’t know that this strain was supposed to give me a headband feel when I first tried it. I ate a really greasy pizza after smoking and I thought the amount of cheese and grease I ate was giving me a slight headache lmao. Looked it up and I put two and two together. It wasn’t the pizza. Feels good but different.
